POOR QUALITY FURNITURE – WARRANTY MEANINGLESS I purchased a Synargy leather recliner through Harvey Norman around 18 months ago. The headrest developed a clear fault, and while the recliner is still under the manufacturer’s leather warranty, I was informed by both Synargy and Harvey Norman that the issue would not be fixed. The fact that Harvey… Read more
Norman could immediately say Synargy would not honour the warranty shows this is not an isolated case—others have clearly complained about the same problem. Synargy is unwilling to stand by its products or its warranty obligations.
This is not normal wear and tear; it is a manufacturing fault. Yet Synargy continues to produce and sell expensive recliners of poor quality, leaving customers out of pocket and frustrated—and Harvey Norman continues to sell them regardless.
The quality is dreadful, the warranty worthless, and I would not recommend Synargy furniture or Harvey Norman to anyone.
Rubbish lounge suit $5502.00 – The armchair electric keeps going backwards and hard to get back up, their service man will not return calls. HM advised me to buy new motors at $400. Hasn't made any difference. Now going to m Australian Consumer Law Show details
Terrible wear from Synargy lounge from Harvey Norman – Our fancy 3 seater Synargy lounge has worn very badly. Synargy advised it cannot be repaired easily and say it is “future fabric” Whatever that means!! Not leather nor vinyl. So a $2500 terrible purchase from Harvey Norman. It lasted about 3 years before fading and peeling set in. Stay away from Synargy products. Show details
Very misleading – Purchased 2015, lasted 3 years, supposed to be leather, no bonded leather. Material started to peel from head rest, arm rest and where knees rest. Very misleading, the materials are very cheap, we were miss lead also by Harvey Norman Maroochydore. Show details
Future fabric is rubbish – Rubbish fabric. Super thin plastic skin (polyurethane?) rubs off on headrests, seats, arms and piping - anywhere it is touched. No wonder it only has a 12 month guarantee. Lovely to look at, just don't touch it or use it. Only just made it through the 12 month guarantee period. For the 12 months guarantee time H N were great, even coming over 100… Read more
km to repair the lounge mechanicals. After that, the 5 yr guarantee we purchased was useless, as we discovered, it only covered accidental damage (fine print). Update Jan 2024. A black lounge is now grey almost all over. Unbelievable how much has flaked off. I have tried to recolour with leather stain but only lasts a few weeks at best.
Falling apart after less than 2 years – Originally purchased in Feb 2019 have noticed over the last couple of months the piping on the lounge starting to break away. Contacted our local HN store where we purchased. Happy with their help but not with the manufacturer. Surprise surprise - the fabric only has a 12 month warranty. Their fix - they supply the fabric and I pay $700 to… Read more
have it repaired! Not impressed! Would never recommend this lounge to anyone. Shame because it's super comfortable!
Phoenix 6 seater modular swelled USB compartments. Won’t open – We purchased the lounge three years ago from Harvey Norman. The lounge has barely been used literally the USB and light compartments has been pulled down a few times. The USB compartments have swelled and won’t open. Not sure why, we have since turned the lounges off due to been worried about it been a fire hazard. Show details
Never again – We have had this lounge for 18 months and not at all happy with it. Support keeps collapsing and has been refilled twice. Last month once again called them to inspect and have been advised by manufacturer it's a comfort issue and no further action required. Pretty disappointing considered the price we paid. Would not recommend it to anyone. Show details
Sorry we purchased it – Since we purchased this lounge middle of 2019, we have had warranty work done on this so called lounge twice ,and now again this month. One seat keeps dropping to one side, and yet they say it’s fixed .I will see what happens this time so stay tuned for further updates, but at the moment stay clear of a Brockman lounge Show details
Falls apart – The couch is very comfy but sadly just 2 years after having it the material peeled and fell away, the6n1st tried to tell us the person sitting in the seat must take medication. After a discussion with department of commerce they replace the head rest, now 2 other head rests have peeled away. So disappointing, this lounge would make a great mooring. Steer clear not with a cent and Harvey Norman should cease selling this rubbish. Show details
Future Fabric worn – Daughter purchased 3 seater Stanbury lounge Dec 2016 (cost $2600). By June 2018 it was showing quite bad signs of wear, mainly on bottom half of seats. It had been cleaned with the special cleaner. Only had a 6month old baby when purchased and a dog. The wear is from adult use not baby or dog. As it is cream it looks really dirty now but it’s not… Read more
dirt it’s the future fabric has worn off. I have a cheap $500 pu leather lounge that’s lasted 5 years. I’m so disappointed for my daughter. They spent considerable money on a lounge that has only looked good for 2.5 years. Harvey Norman sent someone to look at it but they aren’t prepared to do anything about it. So disappointed.
Excellent and hard wearing – Purchased the Stanbury by Synargy approximately 2 years ago.The twin seater has centre and arm storage, electric leg and head adjustments and unnecessary cup holders. l am 178cm and 100kgs and spend hours watching and a good deal of time sleeping reclined. Great chair and fingers crossed it lasts a couple more years. Very likely i would buy again. Show details
Wow how wonderful!!!!! – After ordering and waiting for delivery of our new Synargy Brockman 3 & 2 setter lounge suite I read some of the reviews and was alarmed by what I read about all the things that didn't work well. On arrival we plugged the couches into power and downloaded the app on both my husbands and my Samsung Galaxy S5 phones by following the instructions… Read more

Best lounge I’ve had – Great three seater lounge has everything you need in it. Well worth the money and very comfy. Had a few teething issues but Harvey Norman have been absolutely fantastic in helping iron it all out now working beautifully. Would recommend Show details
Smart But Not Comfortable – All the electronics work fine on this couch. The app even lets you turn lights on & off. It was easy enough to set up. However, three weeks after purchasing, both lumbar supports and recliner bases have collapsed and we have wood sticking into us. Expensive Chinese Rubbish. Avoid like the plague!!!
