sorts of other annoying options this really does my head in. The black in the screen has huge blotches of grey in it, also very annoying and poor quality screen! Honestly I would give it a negative 5 out of 5. The Bluetooth and wireless options are cumbersome and insanely hard to operate. The menus and apps are stupidly all over the place and hard to work out, I honestly hate this tv with a passion. The only plus is the sound on this this is good.

3 faulty TVs in 3 months! – 1st TV had a 'blue line of death' dead pixels after 2 hours viewing and was replaced... 2nd TV had mottled grey patches all across the screen and was replaced a month later... 3rd TV now has a red line of dead pixels and grey patches across the screen, and will be replaced a month later... Warranty not worth the paper its written on – We started having signal issues with our 70 inch TCL 70P10US . Replaced aerial, same result, checked aerial port, still interrupted signal. When we removed the new cable the internal port also came out. It appears that there is minimal solder keeping the internal port connected to the tv. Excellent screen, slow response – Bought this brand new and sealed (NOT refurbished) and needed to have it fixed within 6months of using it. having it fixed, the issue has not returned which I'm pleased with.

However, overall responsiveness of the system and smart tv functions are incredibly slow and lag. The receiver is super sensitive on my TV and unless the remote is pointing DIRECTLY infront of it, it will not pick up the remote at all. However, on my partner's TV and his fathers (we all bought the same TV at the same) that issues does not happen. You can point the remote anywhere in the room and all buttons will work and get picked up by the tv. I brought this up with the repairman at the time of him coming out to replace the component and he did not see any issues with it.

So if you want amazing screen quality on a budget, this is great. However, with a cheaper price tag, be prepared to sacrifice other (basic) functions.

2. The wall mounting and ports

For best results, wall mount the TV. It looks like a piece of art! The major minus after wall mounting is that none of your usb or HDMI ports can be accessed with any ease after that. The TV is really really heavy. Easily weighs 40 plus kilos. So my suggestion is, install all your cables and a USB extender for access. If you think you can move the TV each time, you can forget it! I'm pretty strong myself and can barely budge it.

3. The TV itself

Only one word - magnificent! The TV is so sleek. Looks like a painting on a large wall. Sound is excellent. Pretty decent volume and quality. Full 5.1. Doesn't really need a sound bar. Though it does help overall. TV sound by itself is excellent.

Netflix and YouTube stream really fast if you have a good internet connection. So much so that I've not watched cable at all since this game.

Last part of my review, and certainly not the least, picture quality.

Display, Simply mind blowing. When you watch 4k content on Netflix or whatever, it is as if the characters spring to life! I can go on and on. Full HD is magnificent here. And it definitely seems to be up scaling 1080 pixel content. 720p looks great too, though not as great as full HD. SD content looks ok. But still good. You will end up going for more HD content and subscribing to the 4k version of most of the net streaming sites thanks to this TV. Haven't tested out 3d content yet, but I assume it must be superb.

Hope you have enjoyed my review. Go ahead and buy it... At any price, you will never regret this purchase. Only issue is, you will never look at any other TV with any respect ever again!

trouble. When I selected my home wifi and selected password field, can't get virtual keyboard to type password. Then I had to change my password to only numbers and then entered wifi password.

2. This TV is a bit slow to respond. You have to wait at least 3 seconds while changing from TV to Netflix or Youtube.

3. You need very fast internet speed to connect to Youtube/Netflix. Mine TPG is very bad so had to buy Chromecast and stream Netflix/Youtube through it.

Overall this TV is good if compared to other costly brands. I highly recommend TCL.

It's not the best but it's not the worst – I have had this tv for about a month now, it is certainly not the best quality but it does the job. TV channels are not the best, but watching movies and anything through the PS4 is probably the best you will get out of this tv. doesn't work anyway. I tried their customer service centre with no luck, couldn't understand the people I spoke to due to them being foreigners with very bad English skills. These people were rude on all levels including the reps from Melbourne, they never got back to you or stood by their faulty produce. I will never buy or recommend TCL produces.

Remote is so annoying but good tv – Have had it for 4 weeks now and while the picture quality is good, we have been experiencing issues with the remote...I.e it doesn't work or only works when it wants too. yes i took some words from below person as i am having the exact same issues. . i might contact to see what they can do very annoying i would not recommend. if you are not fussed about the remote tv and sound are good no samsung but they are good for budget.  Show details

Great viewing – Picture clarity is amazing with incredible natural colour. First program we watched was a wildlife program set in the Amazon forest and we could see every individual leaf on the trees and the fur on the animals with such clarity that it was like being there. Watching sport is a fantastic experience too , can't wait for cricket season !! Sound is great. Highly recommend this product.  Show details

Love it – Great picture and sound. First TV with internet for us and it was easy to set up and connect to the internet with help from you tube. Haven't had any real problems with it. Sometimes freezes when trying to load. Would buy another one of this brand and would recommend to anyone.  Show details

Fair value – The picture and sound quality is good and it was relatively easy to set up. Where it is let down, in my opinion, is by its remote controller. On the 'Guide' setting, which is where the programmes are listed, it often fails to show the programme that is currently being broadcast. matter where you are sitting in the room the picture is comfortable to watch but this would not suit a small room as too close distorts the picture.

This is our third TCL TV and we have never had a days problem. We only update to get the bigger and newer model.

Poor quality – I purchased this product in October 2016 and it stopped working 7 weeks later and it was reported to TCL under warranty. They refused to supply a replacement TV. I am still waiting for it to be repaired. The service agent has not received the replacement part from TCL. A TV that doesn't work is absolutely useless. TCL backup support is abysmal.  Show details
