Great size but not great for sport watching! – We love the size of this tv it has a clear bright picture. When you are watching afl however the picture is slow. The remote is very very touchy too, if you put it down and it happens to roll over it’ll come up with Netflix or something. We have a sound bar hooked up to it as the sound isn’t great either. We had that already though so easy to… Read more
hook in. We got it for a bargain so not complaining - get what you pay for! It is a base model so got to be expected!
Great TV – A good sized smart TV , picture is great easy to use has everything you need in a smart TV. Very satisfied which the apps and operating system being an android TV east to set up . I use a hot spot of my mobile and have no problems loading programs or downloading apps. Show details
BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK LARGE SCREEN TV – The TCL 75P735 TV will not win any of the major television awards but what this TV does have in it's corner is that it is without a doubt a top 3 Bang-for-your-buck purchase. The picture quality, refresh rate and system display are smack on average for a 75 inch screen but when you compare it to the price you're paying, it actually outperforms… Read more
itself. I have owned this TV for just under 12 months and have come to know all it's in's and out's, spending hours diving into which picture setting suits what genre of movie/tv show/sporting event I am watching. It is worth the time getting to know these details as without it, you'll become quickly frustrated with the picture being displayed each time you go from ACTION movie to NFL game. If you have deep enough pockets, which unfortunately I do not, then I would strongly urge you to shelve out for an SAMSUNG or LG branded TV but if you are like me and you need a large screen TV that will do serviceable job without taking food off your families plates, then the TCL 75P735 is a first round, first pick.
Great TV – I purchased this smart TV for our guest room as it has all the streaming services preloaded. Easy to setup and connect to my home wifi. This is a great smartTV for low price. Show details

Prefer Kogan smart tvs – The Tv isn’t great the apps close or stop working frequently now the remote doesn’t work properly if you press Netflix in takes you to YouTube I should have stuck with Kogan smart tvs I have had no issue with these tvs Show details
Frozen, continues – Continues to freeze. Custom service good but it seems product is not
Terrible processing speed – This TV works well for picture and sound, however the 'Smart' side of things is terrible. Load times are slow and we are constantly restarting the TV to clear whatever is slowing it down. If you only watch free to air television then this is the choice for you, otherwise avoid.
Hard to go past for the price – 75” Google TV for under $800 is a pretty good deal. Picked it up in the end of year sale from JB HiFi. Giving it 4 stars for the value. It’s not high quality of course but it’s a UHD TV that works well and is fine for TV and streaming. Brightness and colour is good and it has advanced picture settings if you’re into that. But with solid… Read more
colours (ads like the yellow JB HiFi background) there is a noticeable colour wash out in the corners and sides. Not an issue for TV though which has lots of colour and gradation. Blacks are really black and fast moving sport also good with no lag.
Sound is fine for TV but as usual with most TVs now you’d want a sound bar for Dolby movie sound. All the ports for that and more are there.
I was skeptical of the Google remote which doesn’t have many buttons or number pad but after getting used to it and configuring the channel order it’s completely fine and nice and slim and has all the streaming services as buttons.
The Google Android OS is good as expected and pretty responsive with streaming services working well.
Not very good quality at all – I have had 3 of these they last around 8 months, the colours go first, then horizontal lines appear then a large cloud shows up on 75% of the screen. Orange and red turn pink the green range goes brown yellow is more like light green. I am waiting for number 4 to show up, mind you i haven't really had any issues getting them replaced, the TV it's… Read more
self is pretty good to start with. This will be number 4 in 28 months. Sound don't even know it runs through my Amp.
This is perfect tv 4k for this price – Perfect 4K Google TV for this price, 4 months use it, no problem yet! Show details
Disappointed – Purchased this TV based on so many positive Good Guys’ reviews. However the picture is terrible for scenes that are dark and with a lot of dark or black colours (blacklight bleed I think it might be called). This happens for both old and new TV shows. I watched sport today for the first time and the picture quality was terrible for that too so I decided to post this review. Show details
Great TV for the price – I think that for what i paid for it ($500) its great, while it is slow sometimes it looks great, when hooked up to my xbox series x dolby vision makes the color pop, the speakers sound great as well. $500 you just can't beat a tv like this Show details

Know better, choose better.
This product last 6 months only and disd – I don't recommend it to anyone, picture alright, sound less than minimum
Dont waste your money – I bouth a TCL P65 in 2020 from The Good Guys with 3 years warranty from TCL. In two years the TV's screen started to show a blurred fog image on the left side. I called TCL and they replaced the TV with a new model of P65. The new TCL was slower than mine, but I was ok with that. But after about 6 months the new TV stopped to work. The screen… Read more
just blinks the TCL logo and goes to a totally dark screen. I called the TCL to make a refund or storage credit at the good guys, because I dont want this TV anymore and my warranty will finish in March 2023. They keep insisting to swap or repair the TV what I dont want. My next step is to open a complaint in the comsumer protection. Stay away from TCL.

If you need a cheap tv it is just about ok... If you need a good tv probably avoid! – Update: 11-05-2023 So I have reduced my rating. The Google TV interface has slowed right down to a crawl since November last year and the bugs (such as not being able to audio sync Binge TV) are really starting to annoy me. I am considering purchasing a ChromeStick to replace the interface all together. Previous review: I needed a cheap 55" tv to… Read more
replace my previous (TCL) that was accidentally destroyed by one of my children. I decided to keep it cheap due to the risk of future destruction. I also need it to have Android/Google TV with a well stocked app library as I rely on certain apps to play video of the kids, etc from my network attached storage (NAS).
Out of the sub $650 55" displays on sale, the TCL was the clear winner in terms of 4k panel brightness and perceived quality (With one exception). However, for just a few hundred dollars more the quality of display was considerably better across the board (but sadly out of budget!). There was a Hisense tv that was in a similar price point and had a noticeably brighter display which looked a little better the OS lacked some of the essential streaming apps such as 7Plus and Binge. Aside from the lower display quality, the other negative that stood out is how slow and laggy the interface is however once streaming this does not appear to affect performance.
Good points: - In a dark room playing 4k content, the display is quite beautiful and really pops. - Google TV or Android (It seems to have the most complete set of apps). Some of the more expensive non-google tvs were missing vital streaming services (such as Binge and 7Plus) - Runs most if not all of the major streaming services - Significantly better brightness than similarly speced bottom end systems like Chiq. - The viewing angles both horizontal and vertical are exceptional. - Picks up the aerial based digital signal way better than our previous TCL - External storage can be plugged in. - It still runs the more modern apps in the play store. - Standby works! My previous TCL going into standby caused a crash which required a full reboot! - The speech recognition search is quite a useful feature. Though I initially agreed to use "Hey Google" then regretted it as I wasn't able to find the setting to turn it off. In the end I said "Hey google! I don't want my TV listening to me!" and it worked! - Works with OLD TCL remote which is much better than the one it comes with.
Room for improvement: - Awful remote control! The control for my old TCL is a thing of beauty! What happened? See picture below. - Remote missing video controls such as Play, Skip (fwd & back), Pause and record. - I am not thrilled that my Google account is the primary household TV account. While I could have created a new account for the TV I don't really want to shell out for a new subscription to YouTube Premium. - The sound is not great (and comes out of the bottom of the TV) - The display is very slightly (but visible to naked eye) lighter around the edges. This does not detract too much from the viewing experience and after a while is not noticed. - The tv is quite underpowered so apps that do run can run pretty slowly/laggy but it doesn't appear to affect the streaming apps when they are streaming. - Some of the apps are pretty badly written/buggy and auto-run (even when "turned off") is a problem. Eg. In YouTube if you turn "Preview sound" to off in the settings it just ignores the setting and still auto-plays the previews with sound! - It integrated with my Android mobile phone too much. Again this is a family TV so I don't particularly want the level of integration. - You have to sign up with an TCL account or sign in with Google account (giving TCL access to a lot of personal details out of your Google account). I went with a freshly created TCL account. - The support feet are spaced towards the edges meaning that it requires a TV table that is about the same width as the TV.
Conclusion I can't complain too much. I went out to buy a cheap tv and got the best one I could for under $650! I feel I have got the best tv for my budget and it is by no means a bad tv. I just wish that I hadn't gone into a store seen what I could have owned if I had had a bigger budget!
Ill never buy tcl again. Dont waste your money.Worst tv ever had. i went through 2 of them and returned it for an LG TV – Buffer cant keep up. Picture and sound. Wifi will not connect. Tcl channels were a disgrace. The feture programme was so soft you turn it up. The adds come on and blow your speakers. Only half of my movies I could play but other half could not. All same files so dont know why only half worked. All or none should work. All problems written on the… Read more
