Looks good – I have been using this TV for almost one year and I absolutely love it. I mostly use it for gaming so I expect high picture quality and fps. Easily connects to wifi so I can enjoy watching Netflix or Youtube and it never fails to impress my guests. The only set back is that the remote often takes a few seconds to respond. This delay can be frustrating but other than that it works like a gem.  Show details

Awesome TV and an awesome price – I can not fault a single thing on this TV. Picture quality rivals Samsung and LG equivalent models. Having the inbuilt sound bar is excellent even though it doesn't have a woofer for bass. Android operating system works flawlessly, just takes a little while to start the tv up, probably about 15 seconds. Got it for a bargain at boxing day sales 6 months ago and no problems since. Good for HDR Netflix and gaming. 3 year warranty too.  Show details

Value for money, but with some issues – I ordered this unit on 26 March and got it delivered on 27 March by Appliances Online - pretty good service! The overall unit looks fantastic and I loved the build quality. Picture quality is on par with a Samsung QLED and sound quality from the inbuilt speakers is fantastic when watching TV or movies on Netflix, but a home theatre system or… Read more

soundbar certainly improves the overall experience. I had this unit connected to my Samsung HT-H6550WM home theatre system, but there are some issues (read below - however, not sure if this is an issue with the TV unit I received or an issue overall).

Calibration straight out of the box is not quite great and I had to refer to a couple of YouTube videos to get this right, but once done, the picture quality is really nice otherwise (similar to a Samsung QLED, but not quite there when compared to LG OLEDs).

However, there are quite a few issues:

1. The plastic cover at the back for the inputs is quite flimsy and doesn't stay in place if you're using all the 3 HDMI ports plus the antenna and have thick cables.

2. My unit appears to be faulty and has a bluish-white tinge on the top left side and its quite visible on bright backgrounds - full white or yellows, blues or reds. I grabbed a couple of images on my phone (however, there's always a limitation when you try to capture an image of a TV screen on a phone) and shared the images with TCL's support team. They repeatedly kept requesting more images and all images had the same result - it was hard to capture the bluish-white tinge and I was told there would be a charge for a technician visit. Given that I had this issue straight out of the box and I had raised the complaint on the same day (27 March 2018) when the unit was delivered, I found this to be quite unfair. They refused to budge, despite multiple emails and phone calls.

3. Turning on/off the TV requires you to repeatedly keep pressing the power button on the remote and it picks up the signal after multiple power button presses. It's an issue with both the remotes.

4. It doesn't sync well with the Samsung Home Theatre system I have - the sound is way too low even at 25-30 volume levels, which otherwise was quite a blast on my old Samsung and LG TVs. And switching between input modes - from TV to PS3 or from PS3 to laptop - drops the connection with the Home Theatre system. I would have to restart the TV after selecting that specific input mode and only then the home theatre system will work - so for e.g. if I switch from TV to laptop mode and if I have to get the home theatre system to work, I would have to switch to the laptop mode first, restart the TV on that same input mode and only then the home theatre system will work. However, by default, even after these steps, the home theatre will always start in "mute" mode.

5. For some weird reason, every couple of hours, I get this annoying popup which says "Recommend you to use the store mode" even the TV is running in the "home" mode. Not sure how to disable this.

So far TCL has refused to do anything about these issues and not really happy with the overall customer experience.

Ideally, if it has to be used only as a TV, it serves the purpose but given the current trends with having multiple devices connected, it just fails to deliver on that front. My previous Samsung 55" TV worked absolutely fine (minus a few colour saturation issues) otherwise. Kind of regret making this purchase!!

Sorry TCL, you really need to improve the overall customer experience!!!

A. TV that ticks all the boxes and reasonably priced – Looking for a premium looking 65inch then check this out. Having almost settled for the Samsung 8000 series i am glad i continued my research. This is Quantum dot at a reasonable price. 1 week old and loving the sharp images the ease of navigation and the look whether switched on or off! Big tick from me. And 3years standard warranty dispels… Read more

earlier concerns around quality and reliability.

And i have actually toned down the colour by setting as movie preset.

Just love it – It's a great tv with great viewing angles. Quantum dot tech makes it show dark blacks and bright colours. Another plus is having an android tv experience with built in Chromecast and built in bluetooth to connect external devices such as remotes and speakers to play music or use tv speakers to play music from your device.  Show details

Excellent tv – Just bought x2 65 inch TV one month ago. Overall I Am very happy with the product. I will try to give an honest opinion. Design: before buying this TV I have done my research and I have compared LG, Samsung TV with x 2. I found only top model LG OLED TV design is comparable with x2. It's simply the best. Picture Quality: Color reproduction… Read more

is excellent due to quantum dot. Blacks are similar to Samsung QLED and little less then LG OLED. However it is not noticeable, only professional eye can see the difference. There is little bit of motion blurriness when playing standard definition program. With HD the blurriness goes away.

Sound Quality: No need for external speakers or sound bar, Its simply the best in the market.

If are looking for high quality TV without paying high price and like to compromise with the dream of buying expensive OLED tv then you can buy TCL X 2 with out any hesitation.

Best Tv - Beats Oled And Samsung Qled Any Day!!! – Purchased this tv with the hopes of getting an acceptable quality quantum dot screen with many inbuilt high end functions like HDR Pro, Xess voice control, 800 nits brightness, wide colour gamut, inbuilt Harmon Kardon 3.1ch speakers, Android TV, Freeview plus, built in chromcast, HEVC, micro dimming and much much more. However what we got was… Read more

so much more, the screen is absolutely impeccable in detailing, brightness and contrast. I tested the 4k video demos on youtube for the LG OLED tv on the the X2, the blacks where as black as the the very slim bezel around the perimeter and the colours poped out almost feeling 3d.

Talking design and aesthetics, this TV is second to non, with less than 1cm thickness for the screen, full alluminium construction with chamfered edges, its a piece of art in itself.

If you are looking for literally the best TV on the market without the need to pay an extra 3k for a fancy brand name, don't hesitate and buy this awesome TV, trust me you won't regret it!

Awesome TV - very impressed, great value for money! – Been waiting for this baby to arrive in Australia for a while now and I must say it has been worth the wait. Excellent quality, awesome picture, great value for money, and to top it off it comes with a 3 year warranty. How do the other brands get away with charging so much for the same thing. Competitors must be shaking in their boots with the arrival of these Chinese TV's.  Show details
