Hi i have a tecknika T948SS5 installed around 2015 . Recently after around 30 minutes the oven turns off and then after a short while turns on again. Any thoughts?

You can find how to do this in your manual or turn oven off press the P and + at the same time until you hear it beep or you cant turn the oven off at the circuit breaker and turn back on and re-set the clock - regards Sharron

New to this oven (used but previous house owners). The lights do not work, both globes have been replaced but still no light. There is no symbol on the tough screen for light either. How do I get the lights to work?

Thank you for your response. On page 11 it mentions the oven mode symbol to turn light on. Can I assume that if the light does not turn on during cooking and the globes are replaced that there is an issue with the wires/ connections etc?

Hi Our technika T948SS-3 oven just turns off completely after only 20min of cooking time. not even the time display stays on the entire oven turns off. Then about 30min later the display lights come on and you can re program again and after 20 min ish the same thing happens! its a 2016 built home in Perth. Any help would be grateful please. thank you

Recently purchased a house with a Technika 90cm oven fitted (sensor control pad) - model number T948SS-5. Followed instructions regarding setting the clock - I either get a bell or a time function flashing - when it’s on the time function, I press the + & - to try and adjust the time - but it goes off after a few seconds and no time has been set. There is a beeping sound every time you press, but no digits move. Many thanks.

I’m used of having the picture where both elements are on top and bottom with a fan pictured. I do not have this??

How do you get the inside of the glass clean in this oven?

There are screws in the top of the oven door that you undo. This will then allow you to slide the inner pane out. Just be careful with it. It may be slippery from any grease on it and they are $$$ to replace.

Thanks Elaine, for your style door you will need to lift the glass from the bottom and slide towards you (out) to remove as they are clips in stead of screws. Please note that this will make the door lighter so it would be best to use the small locks on the side to stop the door from closing. Thanks

If the D error is in the yellow section you will need to hold the 2 highlighted buttons together until it resets, if neither works you can reset it by turning it off at the mains. Thanks

The oven heats up and runs for 20 minutes then shorts out - zero power. Can’t even switch on or off at power box. Then once it cools down power comes back on - whats the go here? Sick of the oven shitting itself after half cooking a meal…

Hi, I keep getting a series of beeps and then the code ‘er2’ flashes briefly.

The oven is fine.

What on earth does this mean?

It happened for a day. Then it stopped and has now returned 2 weeks later. It’s very odd.

The control panel, linked in this response is different from the one on page 11 of the User Manual, in that there is NOT light on/off button. I've found that I can touch the Select button, one after the other, and the lights will come on.

Is this how you switch the lights on/off? Is there a correct way.

The lights on only mode is very useful for proofing dough during Melbourne winter.

Built a brand new house in late 2017 had this oven installed, oven never shut properly after about 12 months of being in the house the oven hinges gave away while open , tried for 12 months to get door fixed under warranty still hasn’t been fixed and technika are refusing to replace the door to fix , we have spent many hours of our time trying to get this fixed and have now spent over $700 on a new door that will be fitted soon , had technika send out a technician who said he was unsure if it was broken by us or had just broken due to being faulty , so they refuse to fix it even though it has a 5 year warranty and it wasn’t even 12 months old when it broke, we will be going to vcat if they don’t refund our money. I will not buy another product from this company and will advise others to avoid their products.

Door is still not repaired as we are waiting on a door to come from China we have been told and have paid for it as we were sick of waiting for technika to help , originally when we reported the problem we only required the latches , but the metal was damaged anyway so new door was the only real outcome
