Solid capabilities…but Should be called a water maker – Edit- 8 months old. I will NEVER buy another one. It collects dust badly in the lower unit and is almost impossible to remove. In so many ways I’m disappointed. No. Never again. 8 days old. It’s effective at cooling a medium sized room, controls are simple and easy to use. Plus it isn’t as loud as others I’ve owned. But, and this is a real issue, it creates waste water like I cannot believe. The internal tank is full in no time. Like an hour at most. So…yes, It has the ability to fit exterior drainage via hoses. I’ve now got it set up at waist height and have made a drain hose system using a few low cost Bunnings garden hose parts to a 2 litre plastic bottle for ease of removal. Easy fixed I thought. Well…reality check. I’ve upgraded to a 10 litre bottle now. It creates 10 litres of water in 8 hours!! I’m in mid coast QLD. Summer but not humid yet. Bluntly? Do NOT expect to realistically use this aircon without attaching an effective drainage system to the unit. Because it surprised us with the sheer amount of water it makes. The only major drawback to an otherwise good unit.
