Started leaking after 6 months – This kettle worked well initially and we were pretty happy that its metal so the hot water doesn't sit in plastic for a long time. But it started to leak from the base after about 6 months of use, so it soaked and damaged our wooden cabinet that i was sitting on. Good kettle – We got this kettle as a gift and thought at first that the volume could be too little for us, but its perfect. Most of the time one litre is plenty and its so fast that on the odd occasion that we need more, we just boil a second time. Its still reliable with a few years of use. Fast, quiet. After about five years of use it is a little bit slower to boil, but still pretty good.

Not worth the money – Bought this kettle 2 years ago hoping that it won't develop leaks like my previous 2 stainless steel kettles from other manufacturers. Alas, in the last two months it started leaking. I am really put off as it wasn't cheap. My next kettle will be a cheaper plastic model and brand. They do start looking somewhat grotty with time, but never leak, are much quieter and seem to last forever. Good looks Very noisy and leaks after less than 2 years.

and 6-months later a rust spot appeared inside the kettle on the side (stainless steel is meant to be rust proof).
