Awful – Unit 2 years old. Discovered flame to be expelling out of pilot tube. Cost $600 to find this out and it should be under warranty. Only to find out this is a part therefore NOT COVERED past 12 months. I have been told DO NOT LIGHT THIS HOT WATER SERVICE AS IT IS LIKELY TO START A FIRE. (Caps used to stress the importance of the message). Now I have to pay another $600 or so to fix this part. A new unit costs $1800. Total rip off. Show details

Unit blew up – Thermann 135lt gas was fitted 2021 working fine for two years, then all of a sudden stopped working went to relight it 5 minutes later wasn't working went outside and the control panel door was 2 feet away, relit it and 1 minute allmost blow my face off and gas was under the tank flamming out plumber came out changed controler and. It happened 5 minutes after lucky he seen it happen. He put new one in all good so far. Show details

DO NOT BUY THERMANN – Having a brand new tank installed 3 months ago we’ve had continuous leaking water from the valve even when temperature is set low. We had a so called experienced guy come out and said this is normal to leak. During my 35 years I have not ever heard of such rubbish, and never had a tank continuously leak. send out service people who have no idea to fix the problem. I should have stuck with Rheem but I was convinced to buy a Thermann because it’s a ‘great’ system.

Do not buy this product!! – Bought this product 2-3 years ago and now have a part that has failed and need to spend $500-$600 to replace after spending $1800 on the new unit. Parts have 1 year warranty and company happy to sell parts and claim unit is good. Don’t buy this product. Quality and service is poor and company won’t support you. Very disappointed. DO NOT BUY!!

Not worth buying – Had a 170 ltr Thermann water storage heating unit supplied and installed by one of Global Home Response team of licensed plumbers in 2016 replacing a 15 year old Water storage gas heating unit. Reported the water system not providing hot water after being installed. Plumbers response must be weather too cold for us not to feel the hot… Read more

This week I called them again due to not hot water. I was told to call manufacturer which is Thermann. Went online then lodge email, no contact number provided online.
Reece Plumbing replies as they are the authorised after sales. I was passed on to Dux support who then tells me over the phone that there is no warranty. I requested this to be sent as email.
Sandra emailed me to contact Blacktown City Hot Water, authorised repairman.
Disappointing to have this experience of being passed on to one company to another.
