Plumbing Services were exceptional. The unit was installed and tested promptly. It operates smoothly and quietly without shortage of hot water during the family morning rush. I would strongly recommend DUX, as a perfect choice as the house hot water system. At the end it is the 5 star system.

AquaMAX G340SS
Just today replaced my still working legacy G200 SS Aquamax hot water unit built 9th moth of 1998 which is 28 years old with the new equivilent… Read more
G340SS. I did this as a preventative measure as after 28 years the I feel unit is mostly on borrowed time. Having said this, it may also have lasted another 10 years. I will never know now. Any way if the G340ss is built with the same quality it may very well be the last hot water unit I ever buy. I have been told the stainleess tank is still made from marine grade stainless. And if you have soft water with little to no contaminants like hard water in some areas this unit will last a very long time. Hard water can cause issues. In the 28 years up until today , the only maintenance I have done is to purge the relief valve every 6 months. And a word without a lie, the pilot light has never gone out unless the gas valve was closed for other works. My gas bills reflect a very steady consumption. It truly is a set and forget unit. I have a family of 4, all adults and never run out of hot water. People don't realise stainless steel metal heats up quicker and retains heat very effectively. This is what helps efficiency along with the insulation. This is my honest sincere review, I am not associated with anyone or business and only passing on what has worked for me. Many people say gas units are bad, but I beg to differ. Aquamax SS for me is exceptional. An equivilent good quality Heat pump which I could not justify was going to cost me around $10K+ for all the works needed with only a 5 year tank warranty. This unit remove/ install was around $2600 in Mulgrave Victoria with 12 year tank warranty. A no brainer., for me anyway. All the best in your decision for a new HWS.
AquaMAX G390SS
Do not purchase Aquamax 390 – I purchased an Aqua max in 2021. The unit is only 3 years old and has already stopped heating the water. We can’t have a shower for more than 15min… Read more
and water runs cold. We barely have any cold water running through as water would be freezing cold. Clearly they have a big problem with this unit wish I had read reviews before purchasing. I called Rheem to lodge a complaint and they wanted me to pay 274.00 just for call out. Then parts if required, I asked the consultant if she would be happy to pay $1,500 for a product that only lasted three years and of course the line went quite. Do yourself a favour and do not purchase this product.
Quantum Energy AC4 Series

From day 1 the water was never hot enough, and the unit was remarkably noisy, relative to fridges and my three heat-pump air conditioners. Then… Read more
after 4½ years of light use (I live alone) the compressor failed. Given the happy chappy on the Quantum website with his 20-year-old unit, I wasn't impressed, and Quantum initially responded to my complaint about the 2-year warranty by encouraging me to send in a list of required details for consideration. But with no hot water I had to get the compressor replaced pronto, at half as much again as the unit originally cost, after which Quantum stopped responding. I now realize that I will never recoup through the lower running costs the extra capital cost of their unit over a simple immersion heater, not having taken into account the equipment failing. I would never deal with Quantum again after this experience.
Thermann 4 Star Gas Hot Water System
Awful – Unit 2 years old. Discovered flame to be expelling out of pilot tube. Cost $600 to find this out and it should be under warranty. Only to find out… Read more
this is a part therefore NOT COVERED past 12 months. I have been told DO NOT LIGHT THIS HOT WATER SERVICE AS IT IS LIKELY TO START A FIRE. (Caps used to stress the importance of the message). Now I have to pay another $600 or so to fix this part. A new unit costs $1800. Total rip off.
