This cooling pad looks good in the images but it fails to adequately cool a laptop that tends to run hot. If the room you work/game in typically surpasses 25c in summer then it won't cool a hot running laptop adequately. My laptop will slow considerably or stall in such conditions. I don't think any flat fan 'cooling' pad of a similar design will adequately cool in these conditions. Save up your money and buy a more expensive vortex style pad. Look for tech site comparisons. User reviews on Amazon, where this laptop is typically sold, are totally worthless.

The C12 is solid and broad enough to take a large laptop and runs relatively quiet. It has four buttons at the front. LED lights on/off, + - fan speed and power on/off. My biggest bugbear is that if you run it off your laptop USB the flashy LED comes on immediately when you turn on your laptop and you have to press the LED button to turn it off. There is inadequate instruction but you can plug it into a permanently powered USB hub and turn it on and off via the pad's power button, which bypasses the lights. Overall, its not worth the cost if you work/game in warm to to very warm summer conditions.
