Toshiba Z770K Series

I love this TV – I've had this for about a year now. I love this TV. The sound quality is great because the speakers are at the front (unlike almost all other TVs) so it broadcasts to me & not my curtains/window/wall. There is no need to buy an extra sound bar. It has a middle flat stand so it can fit on a smaller table/cupboard unit. (The ones with 4 "legs" would have forced us to buy another larger one & those legs look feeble & would scratch the wood of the unit.) It's 55 inch so it's huge but never looks pixelated, etc. Colours are nice and natural too. If I ever buy another one, it'll be a clone of this :)

Flimsy garbage. Steer clear of Toshiba products – I purchased this television about 9 months ago and for the first time since I purchased it, I decided to move it to another room of the house. I didn't bump it on anything or drop it. In actual fact, I made sure that I didn't do any of those things for obvious reasons. Despite all of this, the screen is now ruined and I have to go and buy a new TV. I'll never buy another Toshiba product. Ever. I would warn other people to beware of how poorly made their products are.

Very impressed – Found the set-up procedure straightforward and easy to follow. Of course keep required passwords handy. The quality of the picture is impressive with quite a few options to change settings to suit personal preferences. The sound (front facing speakers) is very clear, again with settings able to be changed to suit. With enough connectors it was easy to connect the set top box, DVD player, blue ray and soundbar. The remote is well set out with white buttons for Netflix, YouTube etc making it easier to use the remote at night. The response time on these functions showed very little lag. A two year warranty seems double that of most brands. Very happy with this upgrade.
Purchased in at The Good Guys for $1,700.
