Price is so low it didn't matter if it worked or not, but was suprisingly happy with it. I use mine as a remote puppy monitor. Only to sight my dog for peace of mind. I don't use all the other fancy features. Works really well as a remote web cam. Setup was easy. My family is less anxious seeing our puppy sleeping on the deck.

Protects seedlings from bush turkeys, needs to be way better as a people security camera though – This camera sounds an alarm if bush turkeys come, which is BRILLIANT - all my seedlings have been saved because of this camera. I would've lost $100's worth of plants if it had not been for this camera. (mind you, I do have to set my alarm at 6am, and then turn the alarm of the camera on -if I leave the camera on permanently, unfortunately the alarm goes off all night with the moths. But waking up early interrupted is a small price to pay to save all my trees every morning. The alarm is loud enough to scare off the bush turkeys, so I don't even have to race out there and shoot them away! But the neighbours can still hear it, which prob irritates to some point. The Tapo app people, have visual access to the camera, should they wish, as well as the microphone, - and they can override app settings. I have noticed ALL security camera app people have this access, and use it. THERE DOESN'T SEEM TO BE ANYTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT THAT. Every now and again it seems to reset itself, and it does things that I didn't say, like it starts tracking, and often it just tracks the wind. Sometimes notifications get turned on or off too. And you would think that it's just resetting itself with a power out, but no, because every time I have to change the settings it asks me if I want to upgrade to their plan on iCloud or something, and so this is a deliberate tactic of them to try to get you to spend money with them (anyone who does that by the way is a total sucker). But I wish it had the option of storing video footage on my iPad rather than on a Tf card. Infact that would be a HUGE plus. So as a security camera against bush turkeys it’s a game changer, BUT as a security camera against criminals, this is not reliable at all, due to the resets, money requests and access - you can automatically assume that these people are going to be in cahoots with the highly organised pretty bimbo crime network who may try and break into your house. Because they place money for them, more important than security for other people, their customers. Money first.
