Worst Toaster on the Market – Trent & Steele model TS3206SS. Purchased from Harvey Norman. This toaster takes so long to toast, the bread (all types of bread) comes out like dried fruit before anything starts to brown, and that’s when it is set to highest setting. We purchased this Trent & Steele toaster approximately 6 months ago. Not recommended, worst toaster I have ever had. Show details

I hate this toaster (TS8012S) – Doesn't toast evenly. Toast comes out burned outside and cold inside. No matter the setting, it's burned. Uncooked strip at top of bread due to toaster not being deep enough for regular bread. This toaster is going in the bin along with all the bread it has destroyed. Show details

What a waste of money – Purchase this toaster and had it sitting in storage... when I finally got to use it, the heat strips didn’t heat up even though the stop light was on. Wasteful Show details

Don't buy this toaster - it's a shocker – I regret to say I paid a fortune for this toaster, which is an absolute shocker. Burns nearly every slice of toast I put in on one side only. Changing the settings makes no difference. The coating on the appliance's exterior, which looks so attractive, is prone to staining. Thanks for nothing, Harvey Norman.  Show details

Not this model but returned because standard sliced bread did not fit – If buying this brand I suggest you take a slice of bread, or a tape measure and knowledge of bread size. We bought 2, but returned as the basic sliced bread was too high, and came out with a strip at the top untoasted. It was fine for smaller things like crumpets, but semi useless as a toaster. Not sure if all models the same.  Show details

Good toaster – Bought a 4 slice toaster TS4012M (online) as I needed to replace my 9 year old Russell Hobbs 4 slicer (which my husband always complained about - uneven browning, eventually did not pop the toast). I got this toaster for a pretty cheap price and it had to be compact enough to fit into a designated area - was impressed how good it was for the… Read more

price I paid. Love the reheat button to time it perfect for when my eggs are just ready! Like most toasters, both sides not exactly even but better that my old Russell Hobbs

Don't buy this rubbish – We are $150.00 out of pocket after buying Trent& Steele rubbish toaster. We bought the Trent&steele at full price of $149.00 after the first week we returned it to Harvey Norman and were pleasantly given a replacement. Another few weeks went by & it stopped cooking on one side. We did our money & decided to go back to a Breville -  Show details

DON'T BUY IT! Great if you like charcoal – Like everyone else here, I feel like an idiot. We are shopping for a basic toaster at Harvey Norman and the sales assistant steered us towards this one (Actually a TS25G). It wasn't till we had paid for it that she pointed out it was marked-down from $179 to $39. If I had seen that originally I think I would have steered away from it on principle.… Read more

On the very minimal setting of '1', it burns the bread to inedible. I'd hate to see what happens on '7'. Not only that, it actually only toasts 3/4 of the slice, leaving the rest white. Harvey Norman, you should be ashamed. I feel you are knowingly dumping this garbage on an unsuspecting public to be rid of it.

It does not make business sense though, because I will be demanding replacement with a similarly spec'd product (different brand though), and these are generally $20 more expensive.

Burnt my hand on this toaster -twice – Like everyone else I just purchased this toaster on sale at Harvey Norman -don't do it! The bread doesn't pop up very far and you constantly burn your hand trying to get it out. The buttons are very flimsy and tinny too, soooo disappointed. Will have to do my research and buy another one I really can't stand it.  Show details

Charcoal – Harvey Norman had a fantastic 70% off sale on TS25M Trent and Steele toasters. Like an idiot I bought one. Worst mistake ever. Tried it with sourdough, grain and white breads all with same result. Only toasts 3 quarters of the bread. If you put it on setting 1 and leave it to pop up you have charcoal and the smoke alarm is sounding. Pop it up half… Read more

way thru the first cycle and you have burnt bread. Reading the other posts it seems Trent and Steele does not have a very good system of quality control on the production line. "Trent and Steele is an Australian brand of small kitchen appliances that offers quality household products" (from their website), What a load of rubbish, On reflection I can see why Harvey Norman wanted to get rid of them. Would not recommend anything from Trent and Steele. Lucky I paid $39 instead of $129.

Half hot bread! – The TS25 was meant to be a stylish present that would remind me of the giver every day. Only toasted bottom half of bread, leaving top undone. Hobbit sized bread would go undone! Harvey Norman's massive discount on this item went past sale time, indicating a willingness to offload a dodgy product. Disappointing that Australian half baked product can be unashamedly peddled by Australian company.DO NOT BUY A T&S TOASTER.  Show details

Hopping Mad Hobbit! – A cash gift. "Buy something nice, that will last, & you can use everyday." Harvey Norman had a stylish & expensive toaster for sale at 70% off, the Trent & Steel TS25 two slice, massively reduced from $129 to just $39, was massive disappointment. It only made toast of part of the bread, leaving the top "undone". This was a standard slice from a… Read more

standard loaf. It was obviously a flaw. I looked for product reviews. They are scathing. Not only toasters. Two questions emerge: 1. Why T&S continue to supply stylish but crap product & 2: Why would a big name like Harvey Norman continue to sell an obviously crap product?

All looks - No action – My husband was sent to buy a new toaster and came home proud as punch with this one from Harvey Norman. Look what a bargain I got he said, so I bought two!! They were marked down from $100 to $30. Now we know why. You have to put it on highest setting to get a light brown and wait about five minutes. So we got the other one out of the cupboard,… Read more

same thing. One was a four slice, one was a two slice. Geez you would think a toaster couldnt be that hard to make. All looks, pretty colours, no performance. What a bargain NOT! Prob why they were marked down. Thanks for wasting our time and money by not doing a recall.

Doesn't Toast – We have a pretty teal T&S 4 slice toaster to match the kettle. We have both dials set to the highest toast setting and it barely toasts the bread to a blonde. We like our toast a golden tan colour. Pretty bench candy that is expensive and fails more as time goes on.  Show details

Good toaster – I was given this toaster as a gift, so therefore I had no say in which brand to buy. After having several brands of toasters that were terrible and cooked unevenly, I was pleasantly surprised by this toaster. It cooked the toast evenly from the first time. I was surprised by the other reviews posted on this toaster, maybe I was just lucky to get a… Read more

good one. Have not tried crumpetts yet, but cooks bread and raisin toast well. I had never heard of this brand before and probably would not have even considered it if I was buying a toaster myself, would have gone for a well known brand. Another plus is it has a 2 year warranty.

terrible – Purchased a very flash blue trent and steele toaster to match the kettle. Product looked lovely and not in a cheaper price range so I expected quality. Not so. Felt very tinny. Toast cooked unevenly. Front cooked ok back barely cooked. When the toast popped out it popped out with a bang and it jumped so high it nearly fell out of the toaster. Very disappointing. Returned both products and went backbto my russel hobbs

Trent & Steele 4 Slice Toaster - Rubbish! – I wish I had done my homework before purchasing this Trent & Steele 4 slice Toaster. It takes 5 minutes or more to toast a piece of bread and even then I have to give it a second go. Crumpets....I don't attempt them any more, I use the grill in my oven for them. I would not recommend this toaster to anyone!

Don't like appliance – Having recently purchased this item to replace a 16 year old Russel Hobs toaster, I am disappointed with its performance. At setting number 4, it requires 2 attempts to colour a crumpet and at setting 2 it barely warms the bread when making toast. I would not be able to recommend this appliance to anyone.
