Looking at a buying a Japanese Import 05 Sprint ST 1050 - just wondering if Triumph detuned these bikes for the Japanese market?

Why does my bike runs so hot all the time. Is that natural for my triumph sprint st 2001 955?

Hi Anthony. Not sure about that model but if you mean the temperature is high on the gauge then you should check fluid levels or perhaps a complete coolant flush and oil change as well (use a quality oil)

If you mean engine radiant heat then alot of bikes have this some more than others it can be particularly apparent in summer traffic.

Have a look on some triumph forums there may be some advice on this matter.

Cheers..............Ian

The frame gets hot straight away and blows hot air out.

Anyone had a problem with sprint top yoke touching tank on left hand lock?

My 05 has not had this problem.

The following link may shed light on the subject.

First thing Id check is the obvious. Connection to battery to start with, then follow back because it stands to reason that a/. Its electrical and b/. It due to water. Obviously I cant tell however there can only be a few things and wiring sounds most likely.

If you have access to a voltage detector pen you could check various connections.

Hope you get it sorted...or its off to the auto elec..
