I downloaded but did not activate the app in 2015 but since I never used it I deleted it from my iPad. I’ve just recently received a message from Uber on my phone with a 4 digit code. Anyone have a clue why? I would ask them myself but they can only be contacted via the app which I more than ever do not wish to activate. Does anyone know how to contact this lot without the app?

I've tried calling my uber lady from Tuesday; she was super sweet and i left her a voice message asking if the money had appeared in her account. I'm not sure how to get it back but, whine, and tantrum until you get your money back. (They sent my card into debt, and charged me EXTRA then the ride was last time)

Has anyone been charged a $10 "cancellation fee" for a ride that never turned up at the pick-up point? If so, how did you go getting your money back? I complained through Uber's website, received various canned responses via DM and was advised the refund has been processed. 10 days later, no refund and now they're blanking me!

Same thing happened to me - I had booked an Uber to take me to hospital as I had surgery. Driver called slightly earlier than pick up time to say he had arrived, I was ready and went out immediately, he was nowhere in sight. He then blocked my calls.

That's really bad Greer. I don't know what's going on with Uber. I live in Sydney and the regular taxi service was awful so Uber came in like a breath of fresh air. Now they seem to be as unreliable and dodgy as the regular cab service.

Yep me too. Driver cancelled yet told Uber he showed up when he didn’t. It showed him a few mins from the pickup point for ages, no contact, and then he just drove off and I have to pay a fee. It was 2am and freezing cold. It seems drivers can just say the passenger wasn’t there if they don’t want to take the fare (or if a higher-paying one comes in), so the passenger gets charged instead.

Hired Uber for approx. 40klns. Trip, was good but phoned for return trip ,said billing method cancelled, credit card was excellent, left me stranded, never use again ,Taxis much better.

They couldn't care less IMHO. The volume of unresolved complaints reported on their Facebook page is a real eye-opener. They also lie - they claimed the $10 "cancellation fee" I was charged for a no-show ride would be refunded. 10 days later, no sign of it. I haven't got the time or energy to keep pushing. I've deleted the app and will stick with buses or the odd regular taxi from now on. I've also tipped off a friend whose hubby is a producer with Four Corners that this company's dodgy practices really need looking into.

I am trying to order an uber for my 90 year old mother. My app doesn't seem to have the feature where I select the ride is for someone else. I'm in Perth Western Australia and on an iphone 12. I watched the utube video and read the uber site instruction from 2017.

So annoying trying to speak with someone at Uber! I am not a customer, but have found an Uber driver's mobile phone and trying so hard to let your company know. Naturally, there is no way I can get into the phone for his number. Please can someone contact me so the phone can be returned. It would have been found in Hyde Park, North Perth WA about 5 days ago.

I am a visitor to Australia, and have established an Uber account. Most of the time it is great, but on 2 occasions there has been a problem. On both occasions the ride was assigned to a driver, and showed arrival expected within 3 minutes. On these occasions the driver was obviously at lunch, as they did not show within 25 minutes and did not answer their contact phone. On the first occasion I waited for a second driver to arrive (about another 15 mins) and a good ride resulted. On the second occasion I left a message cancelling the ride, and took a BUS. About 75 mins after the initial call I was called by a driver asking why was not waiting for him, and was charged $10 for cancelling!

I believe that it would be better if the booking was not sanctioned until the driver has actually acknowledged the request, and can then be tracked moving towards the pickup point. Failing this there needs to be a mechanism where the booking is reconfirmed with a second driver in the event of an extended delay. Ultimately the rider should not be penalised for a driver who fails to deliver a reasonable service.

Actually every trip is already sanctioned once the driver accepts (acknowledges) the booking (request). Tracking is engaged at that point is visible by the rider and includes an eta.

Sorry, but it can not be acceptable for the rider to be told the driver will arrive in 3 minutes, the map to show no movement for 20 minutes, the driver not to answer their phone and another driver to be sent after 45 minutes without any communication with the rider!!

I have never had these problems. The Uber always turns up in only minutes and then takes me directly to my destination. When I needed some help with a payment I got onto the help questions at the bottom which led me to somewhere that I could contact someone. They wrote an email back.

Maybe start by reading the 1000+ reviews and questions here. Mapping is only ever as good as the technology behind it or the user. Eg if you book when you are at the back of your house (or shopping centre) the app will pick the closest street to THAT point which could be the next street. Guess where the driver will go?

I have just received a notification from Uber that I have been flagged for "fraudulent activity".I have no idea what this could mean, I have been driving for Uber for 3.5 years without a problem. The notification said that I had to respond to get my account reactivated. I have tried everything to contact Uber to no avail. The email address they suggets help.uber.com is not recognised by outlook. This is also very concerning that Uber cannot be contacted in case something happens. Does anyone know how to contact Uber now.

In QLD how many riders can be in my car ? (Due to new guide line by Covid19)

My car is Hyundai i30 hatchback. 5 passenger capacity including driver. However, because of Covid, front passenger seat is not available as I know. So Maximum capacity of my car is 3 now, right?

Some customer still ask '4 ppl riding'. But I am confused if I can take 4 riders in my car at the same time.

Please help me. It is really annoying that I can't ask uber directly.

Uber eat office emplyor give very bad servise, they wastage my time and money too, first they clear my all document and after so long process they tell me your account deactivated. I spend money for NCC, I thing they have no value for NCC certificate. Compare to uber eat menulog is best at this moment, they give bad servise and wastage time of people. Compare to Uberx didi and Ola give good service to customers. I am not satisfying
