Steamer stopped working at 5 years – Steamer stopped working when the appliance was 4 years old, multiple call outs. Last time I was told to stick my arm in the steamer drawer and jiggle the button. Still doesn’t work. I have an oven, dishwasher and cook top - none of which currently operate satisfactorily  Show details

Love it – Had a Vzug Combi Steamer Oven for over 7 years and if I leave this house I will take it with me. So versatile, so easy to use and love the automatic programming features. The steam and bake functions are so varied and virtually foolproof. Just about a guarantee of perfect results each time. Seriously the best although now wanting to replace oven seal and so hard to get through... Show details

Uneven baking results-HSL (38 cm) combi steam oven – I bought the oven in Feb 2018. The oven does not give an even result for baking biscuits, bread etc. And also when I use it for grilling chicken wings with steam oven function at 230 degrees. I contacted VZUG more than 3 weeks ago, and emailed relevant details to VZUG as requested. I haven't heard anything back from VZUG. This oven is still under… Read more

warranty and VZUG said they would send a technician to adjust it. So far, this oven is an extremely expensive piece of steamer!! because its oven function for baking is poor in quality.

I will never use a microwave again – I cannot believe how beautifully this oven cooks everything and usually all at once ! Veal schnitzel and vegetables that taste like they are the freshest produce with flavour enhanced. Everything tastes like a restaurant meal with less salt, less preparation. I haven't cooked so much nor had so much fun in the kitchen in years. The Vzug is paying… Read more

for itself by not wanting to eat out ! Easier to eat fresh and wholesome food as this oven encourages fresh whole food cooking by its simplicity. Personally I never want to use a microwave again. Just wish I had bought the larger one !!! I

really really love this appliance.

we can't live without it now – Excellent oven. we do some many cooking with it. the steam/combi function is particularly useful for Asian cooking. we use it for almost every meal. we had it for almost 3 years now. The quality is excellent too, haven't had any major issue. Every kitchen should have it. Highly recommended.  Show details

Vzug are great! – My wife is the cook, not I. But using the auto cook functions (roast veggies in the combined steam and meat in the SEP conventional oven) I make a fantastic roast! Just pop it in, set the finish time and relax :) It does reheat really well, even making 3 day old drying out chicken curry pieces taste moist and edible again (for Master 10yo… Read more ·  1

super fussy).

Remembering, you can cook with steam OR conventional heat OR both!

We love it. Expensive, yes, but you get what you pay for. We no longer use the microwave (except for Milo and 3 day old pizza when I am in a real hurry). Reheating family dinners is actually faster, and WAY more Convienient. Pop dinner in, program a finish time and your done.

Amazing piece of kit – We purchased the Combi-Steam XSL and the Miwell Combi XSL a few months ago. These are expensive ovens but truly amazing. Due to our renovation schedule, we had the Miwell Combi XSL (convection oven/microwave) in use for a week before the Combi (since we went with fixed water connection). The Miwell Combi has some great automatic features… Read more ·  2

- it's really good and has some useful melt & plate warming functions too.

Go to a demo to see the Combi-Steam - stands apart from other steam ovens.

I didn't think you'd be able to melt chocolate in a steam oven (melted chocolate & steam/water would seize it I would have thought) - well you can - no more double boilers.

Want to fry without the oil/fat? 230 degrees & steam (aka super heated steam) does a great cooked breakfast on a few trays inserted at different times (checkout the V-Zug video on You-Tube).

Arancini cooked with heat steam are great too. I always avoid cooking fried food because of the fat. Well now it's back on the menu - inc fried ice cream.

The auto re-heat/re-gen moist/crunch we use a few times a day every day. It's great to re-heat plated food all the way through so it comes out like you just cooked it. Take the plated food out the fridge in plenty of time, select re-gen to finish at a set time and forget about it until dinner. The plates aren't dripping even in moist mode - a quick dab of the bottom of the plate on a tea towel (that I put on the oven door when opened) and straight to the table.

I tend to cook batches of food.... mixed rice dish with veggies, pasta with sauce, second rice dish... all at the same time in one go. Saves time & less energy used.

The choc brownie they show you at the V-Zug demo is so easy.... and the Bakomatic auto function just makes it happen without needing to set temp or time. Makes you look like a pro.

The plumbed in model rinses it's pipes out automatically and has a steam reduction mode so when you add food part way through a cook, you don't get the huge waft of steam in your face.

Go check it out.

The VZUG Combi-Steam XSL and the Combair XSL are simply "Brilliant" – We have had our Combi-Steam and Combair for two years now and I LOVE them! All our friends are so jealous they want one when they see what we produce at dinner parties or lunches. I can steam a whole snapper (simply wrapped in baking paper with ginger, coriander, mint, lemon chilli and spring onions) for 18 minutes at 100 C and with a sauce made… Read more

from sesame oil, soy sauce, fish sauce and sesame seeds, it's restaurant-quality. The guesswork is all taken out of baking - it's all pre-programmed - or you can program your own recipe into the oven!

Yes, ideally you need the two ovens - one for baking or roasting your meat and the other to steam your veggies and make dessert while meat is cooking. So that the meat doesn't come out looking grey I simply sear mine before placing the probe in. I used to hate it when I'd put a huge piece of fillet of beef into my OLD oven and it would finish up being well done on the ends and less well done in the middle - and it would shrink 1/3 of its size. With the VZUG Combair (or the VZUG Combi-Steam oven) you simply insert the probe and select the pre-programmed recipe: fillet of veal, topside of veal thick end; loin of veal; shoulder of veal; veal neck; fillet of beef; sirloin of beef, roast beef; chuck of beef; shoulder of beef; topside of beef; middle loin of pork; chump end of loin of pork; neck of pork; leg of lamb. How good is that?!!! Then you get to choose if you'd like it cooked rare or medium! And the whole piece of meat comes out that way - rare all the way through or medium all the way through - and it doesn't shrink!!

Steamed veggies can be done to your liking - al dente or softer, simply adjust the time.

And the piece de resistance - baked icecream!!! How good is that. We get very, very professional results every time we cook - ie every night! Have I mentioned that I LOVE my VZUG?!!!

The best Combi Steam I have ever used! – I found this Combi -Steam very easy to use and I can cook anything I want and get the perfect result every time. I love the Easy Cooking Guides function which takes all the guesswork out of what I need to cook it on especially when there are over 116 guides. I also love the soft roasting option and bakeomatic. I highly recommend this oven to anyone whether they are a chef or have no idea of what they are doing.

Cook like a pro, intuitive appliance – An intelligent, good looking appliance with Swiss precision. Little cleaning, made to last. When you get the hang of the functions of each program, you will be able to cook anything to everything . Used it for 4 years. Never looked back. 'Soft Roasting' means cooking for a longer duration at a lower temperature. The end result is a perfectly… Read more

cooked piece of meat done to your taste (select raw/medium/well done).. And at this lower temperature, it won't brown. Finish off on the BBQ, just before serving. Attend a few demos and ask questions. Your cooking style will change - life is meant to be easier with little clean ups and cooking to perfection. Cooking/baking automatically - no temperature, duration, weight, quantity needed .. How about this for convenience? Steaming fish/prawns on your dinner plate in 5-9 mins? Absolutely.

Takes 4 minutes for the oven to heat up to bake my cake.

Happy cooking!

Not user friendly – This oven has a lot of features which I have found are not easy to use. The soft roaster produces tender meat which is grey and pale. Not at all appetising. Also you can't roast potatoes at the same time as the meat. With some of the functions, it's not possible to set or anticipate the end of the cooking time. This is a great inconvenience when… Read more

cooking for a family. V-Zug offer a demonstration of the oven and a 3 course meal included. Unfortunately, this demonstrated that it's not sufficient to have only one oven as some of the dishes had to go into another oven.

The supplied recipe book, is typically European, with lots of recipes which use cream, butter and cheeses. A 'modern Australian' adaptation would be good.

The BEST Combi Steamer ever! – This is nothing like the OLD steamers. This Combi-steamer from V-ZUG is the only complete package, it got everything from a fan forced oven to a steamer to a baker & roaster with recipes, a slow cooker with meat probe to even a food re-heater (Regenerate, both moist and crisp) it replaces any microwave and it is simple to use, even by husbands and kids!
