Valco Baby Slim Twin

This pram is fantastic. I bought it second hand, hoping that it would suit my needs. Toddler (2.5) and baby (8 months). It’s perfectly functional has such a light steer compared to a front/back double. Considerably lighter than most double prams I’ve used and all in one piece! The size (width) of the seats has not appeared to be an issue with being too small yet. Both kids seem comfortable when in their respective seats.
Good things: - good, light steering - wheel base is so short, it’s basically a single pram - UV covers are well reaching and independent for each seat (extensions available) - breathing holes both at the back and top of the covers for sleeping babies + easy to do one handed or while walking - foot rests can be personalised for each age child - beautifully covered belly bar and handlebar - one handed fold and so light!!! - big wheels mean that it’s able to be used on versatile surfaces and still provide comfort for the kids
Improvements: - size of the basket is amazing, but it’s hard to get full use of it because of the tiny entry point or if the seats are reclined cannot access from the front - no included easy-to-reach pockets at the rear of the pram for phones, etc for the adult - suspension is lacking, but the ride still appears to be comfortable
Honestly, the best SBS pram that fits these dimensions especially if you prefer larger wheels for a less bumpy ride – My family purchased the slim twin and infinity wheels about a month ago and took it travelling for use for my 10 month old twins and occasional use by my 2 year old who otherwise had his own pram (Uppababy M inu). We travelled through Europe mainly with cobblestone streets and long days out. Firstly, we loved the pram and really could not have used anything else for this purpose considering no other double pram this size would be able to fit through doorways in old buildings. We have used a vista otherwise prior to this trip. We also tried out a snap duo from a friend prior to the trip but this was just too large. Please note, the pram is slim but also requires the children in it to match this otherwise they may find the seat uncomfortable.
My feedback from the month of daily use with a couple of questions also: - The pads on the straps just do not stay on the straps. Every time we took a child out, the pads came off. I hope they make a way to keep these on - The crotch strap constantly loses tension as the buckle doesn't seem to hold it at a set length very well. This means I was constantly tightening them to prevent the kids sliding down and slouching. - The basket is a great size but can be difficult to fully utilise as you cannot access it from the front. If the pram had front of basket access that would be amazing and help utilising it to its fullest. Our Minu has access from front and back and we always found it useful putting the backpack or bag at the back and smaller items at the front for quick access.
Once again, we overall really loved this pram We especially liked: - The size. The width just can't be beaten by anything else we have seen. The single fold also is great and easy. - The wheel size and quality. Most travel prams we saw had wheels so small they struggle with anything but smooth ground which makes any actual travel to anything but shopping centres and smooth paths quite difficult. The infinity wheels add a huge improvement to suspension and I suppose left me wondering why they can't be the default - The sun canopy has excellent coverage and the window at the top works really well - I was really glad to see the upgrade to leather wrapped handle bars and the inclusion of the bumper bar in the new model. It is notably more pleasant than the foam and looks great. - We would definitely recommend this pram to anyone in our situation and I really don't think anything on the market comes close at the moment. We did find stock of the prams and the wheels a bit difficult to find but I assume that comes with its popularity!
Purchased in at Banana Baby for $699.
Perfect for what I was looking for – I just got my Slim Twin and I’m in love so is my toddler. I have one toddler 16months and a 3 months baby. I had a front and back pram before but I hated it. It was really heavy, big and complicated to go out with it. So I had looked over a week for a side by side. Was looking for compact, light and easy. Then I risked to buy the slim twin, my best decision! It’s the narrowest pram in the market which will be perfect for me, living in an apartment and in the city. However older kids don’t have much space in it, it hasn’t bothered me or my toddler. As soon she sat on it I had to take her out cause she didn’t wanna leave the pram.
Really happy with this one.

Very happy with my purchase – I bought this pram online, without ever seeing or trying one; I am very happy! I was nervous because photos make it appear like older children’s arms/shoulders are squished against the bars on sides of the seats but they don’t, the bars sit slightly in-front of the child and the seats are comfy and roomy enough for my large 2 year old. Pros: - Very easy to turn and move - wheels are more like pram wheels than little stroller wheels. - copes better than my redsbaby Jive3 with dirt roads and grass. Feels quite good - upgradable wheels - very narrow, only slightly wider than a single pram, goes anywhere a wheelchair can - easy to open
Cons: - The basket doesn’t have a wide opening (does have elastic though so can be stretched further) and feels quite thin. I can comfortably put milk, bread and a few other items in. - no belly bars may bother some
This is a very good pram for someone who has a baby and a toddler or twins that aren’t using a capsule (only takes one capsule at a time)
Very good value for money
