Been using Vanish for years with no problems but NEVER AGAIN!! Ruined several pieces of clothing that were Christmas gifts and only worn a few times. They are now tie died. Clearly a batch fault but Vanish refuse to take responsibilty and offered me a very small amount as good will gesture. I refused the amount and will NEVER buy another… Read more
Vanish product as long as I live. Their customer service is DREADFUL!! I was told I should have tested the fabric before using it!! So does that mean I would just have a tie-dyed sleeve instead of all over effect? How ridiculous. LSKD shirts worn 2-3 times ruined!!
Actually works amazingly well – I expected the marketing hype to be just that but with one soak + wash per the instructions it turned an old white jumper with yellow age staining back to pure white and vastly improved 2 year old kids white school shirts which were now grey and significant under arm staining. The school shirts we will do a second time as the instructions did say… Read more
for very heavily soiled clothes but that's more than fine versus the very high cost to replace the shirts when only a few months of school to go. It's not a che
Literally the worst – It’s literally the worst stain remover and whitening powder I have ever used. Did not whiten anything at all. White socks came out still looking dirty, white clothes came out not looking as white. What’s a terrible product.
Overpriced rubbish – It doesn't remove stains in the wash as promised. The directions say to pre-treat stains by mixing 1/2 scoop (30g) with 1/2 scoops of water. I expected this to make a paste but the powder refuses to dissolve. I use the soaking option of dissolving 1/2 scoop with 7 litres of water and have to swish the water vigorously to get all of the powder to… Read more
dissolve. This doesn't remove stains but at least makes my hand towels smell fresher because it seems to remove the sour odour they used to have. I will not be buying it again. There are much cheaper store brands such as Coles and Aldi that would do just as good of a job.
Finally a soaker that works – I have used this product for some time, mainly for soaking stained clothing and have always been happy with it as it generally removes stains without fading the color. However, recently I had some unknown stains on a favorite shirt which nothing seemed to shift - tried various sprays, scrubbing and even soaked it with some peroxide and soap (a… Read more
remedy sourced from the web). But the stains stubbornly persisted and the shirt looked as if it was permanently ruined and fit only to use when painting. As a last resort I decided to make a paste with Vanish, rubbed it onto the stains and left it to soak for about 20 minutes. And, miracle of miracles, the stains 'vanished'! So I can certainly vouch for the ad on TV showing how Vanish removed stubborn stains. It worked in my case and I will certainly continue to use this product in future. It might be a little more pricey than some of the other brands, but it's a small price to pay for a good stain remover.
Great for odour removal as well as stains – I finally figured out an easy way to eliminate underarm odour on T-shirts. I have a top loader washing machine. I put the shirts in, add one scoop of washing detergent and two scoops of Vanish. I set the machine on soak cycle and use warm water. The way my Fisher and Paykel works is it goes through the wash cycle then soaks for two hours,… Read more
agitating slightly every now and then, and then continues with the rest of the cycle. It is the soaking that is important and if you don’t have a machine with a soak cycle you could use a bucket or tub to soak. There is absolutely no odour on the shirts after they are dry.
Vanish! It's laundry magic! – I love Vanish Napisan Oxi Action. My choice is the Gold Pro, Crystal White. I prefer the 2.7kg tubs, because they're better value for money (in my opinion) at my local Woolworths. I use this wonder product to wash my Whites. Working in the hospitality industry I have a lot of whites and I deal with a lot of coffee, red wine and tomato sauces ect… Read more
so the threat of stains is a constant. I soak my whites over night for 12-24hrs before I complete my standard wash cycle. I do this once a week (on my days off) when I have a full load. This load consists of 10-12 cotton button-up shirts, cotton t shirts, and the ocausinal pair of socks & underwear. I soak in HOT water overnight with my washing machine on pause (I do this around 10pm) then I continue the cycle as normal the next morning (around 11am ish). This always takes care of any stains and marks I have. Those really stubborn stains will take a few washes (permanent ink in my experience). I have sensitive skin and have had issues with changing laundry detergents in the past. Vanish Napisan products do not irritate or affect my at all. I implore all of you to give Vanish Napisan Oxi Action a go.
