Negative – The spray itself is fine. The fact that Vanish sells refill bottles but you can’t remove the nozzle to refill the bottle is a joke. What a money grab from a company.

Terrible product – Don’t use this product. It ruins your clothes. If you want your whites to go yellow go ahead. I had to throw my dress out. Just do natural cleaning hacks they work better. Really annoyed. This is why I posted a photo. Please don’t buy this product. Show details

Terrible - if it was possible to give negative stars I would – I used this product on a stain on a white linen shirt. It claims on the bottle “amazing stain remover 1st time on set-in stains”. When it failed to work I tried a second time, this time using suggested method of rubbing, again no good. However the most disappointing was the response from consumercare_au@reckitt.com who just seem to avoid the… Read more

Waste of Money – I find this product turns mild discoloration yellow. It is particularly bad on perspiration marks and makeup marks. Also, the spray comes out like thick foam and no matter how you try you can't get the nozzle to actually spray.

I Will not buy this again – I have been using this product for years, when it was called Preen Stain Remover. However since the change of spray nozzle I have wasted so much fluid trying to fit it correctly to spray. Still can’t fit it properly so am buying something else.

Tip for folks who don't like great blobs of spray – Get a knife or spoon end or strong fingernail and push off the white tip to spray like it used too. Show details

Give us back the original spray bottle – The new “ foaming” nozzle sprays everywhere, but on the spot intended. It runs down your hand, all over the benches, and onto the floor; Missing the spot entirely. Please stop trying to improve! Show details

refiller bottle – You cannot get the top off the vanish oxi action ultra power gold bottle to refill it. It will not allow you to do this, how stupid when you buy a refill bottle and it has no spray? Show details

Not effective and misleading - do not buy! – I sprayed this product on some food stains on different types of clothes. Not effective at all. Complained to my husband and he said why not just use the normal liquid laundry detergent and the stains just came out! Don't even mention the misleading "colour safe" - ruined one of my favourite jumper! Regretted that I didn't check the reviews of this product before I bought it! Show details

WOFTAM I can see I’m not alone – As with all the others, a complete waste of money. Does absolutely naff all. I haven’t had the yellow staining issue post use, maybe as I don’t bother using it any more.used as directed for over 12 months. Then tried variations to try and get it to actually do something …. Zilch. Don’t bother. Back to sards Show details

Do Not Use This Product – Used this product on my brand new jumper and it bleached it. I chose the product based on it being coloursafe. It most definitely isn’t colour safe. Now I have a ruined jumper and they won’t even compensate me the full $60 for the item when it was only a couple days old. I didn’t leave the product on the jumper for very long as I sprayed and then… Read more

put through a cold wash. Company told me that if there is a list of washing instructions on the label of the garment then it was not coloursafe and one of these included Do No Bleach. To my knowledge of their product there wouldn’t be any bleach in their products for safe use on coloursafe and I have learned the hard way that this is clearly the case. If you have this product at home then throw away immediately. So much for the company’s goal of reducing textile waste because my brand new jumper is now heading for the waste.

Brand new white pants now have yellow stains on them – I had a couple of easily removeable stains on my new white pants, I sprayed them with Preen Vanish Oxi Action and left over night, big mistake!!! I have had them soaking for 3 days in bleach trying to get the yellow stains from the Preen out, pants are ruined. Also ruined 2 white tee shirts. Contacted Reckitt's by phone, nobody will get back to… Read more

Definitely do not buy! – Used this product on my daughters $100 Champion white hoodie. It’s now completely ruined with a huge yellow patch. This has happened to so many others. When is this company going to be held accountable?

Peen has lost the plot – Used preen all my life. Used to be great. Now the new formulation totally useless when used to remove small stains . It sprays like shaving foam ( if it sprays at all). Have to say I wouldn’t give it half a star. A total waste of money. Don’t buy it. It’s rubbish. Use nappysan.  Show details

Changed this product! – This spray use to be so good and then I noticed the recipe change. It now does not spray straight ahead, you waste half of it on the floor. It is now thick and doesn’t spray a wide area on the clothes so you end up wasting the whole bottle on one piece of clothing. If you get it on your skin now your skin turns white and it burns! Absolutely terrible what they have done to this spray. I’m going through double the amount I use to.  Show details

Excellent product now AWFUL – This was my go to. I loved how you'd see it bubble as it broke down the stains. I got a tiny drop of grease on my new fave maternity dress and after putting this on, the mark is HUGE! I can't wear the dress anymore (I've worn it 3 times since purchase!) Tried soaking it in more to blend it out and about to try citric acid soak as apparently that… Read more

might work. The outfit has been washed 4 times to no avail. Photos attached of the damage it has done.

I'm so annoyed, they must have changed the recipe as this product was bomb proof and exceptional. I might try soaking the product in a bucket of it to see if I can just make the stain all over so it's not noticeable any more.

Will never buy again. Go back to the old recipe please!

Changed brands – I used preen for years and it worked very well- then they changed packing & formula. The new packaging is difficult to use as a refill & the new formula doesn’t spray properly. Disappointing Show details

Sheets Ruined....stay away!!!! – I would give this 0 stars if I could. Used on my brand new white linen sheets (worth about $200!!!) and it caused a yellow stain! They are now completely ruined and I have to buy new sheets. Despite trying vinegar, bi-carb Soda, Bleach, Napisan Powder and washing 3 times nothing would get it out. Stay away from this product!!!!! Very disappointing (and expensive to replace things ruined!) :(  Show details

Ruined a new white cotton T-Shirt – A new white 100% cotton T-shirt had a small make up mark on the neck. I used Vanish Preen Oxi Action hand washed it and dried it in the sun. I now have a huge yellow stain around the neck. I then soaked in Napisan overnight to try and remove the stain. It didn't work. It is a permanent stain. The $50 T-shirt is unwearable. Also, the foam means… Read more

it spreads all over the neck rather than being able to target a small stain as you can with a spray.

I will not being using this product again.

Preen Vanish Wast of Money – I have been using prewash spray for oily greasy stains for years. My husband in a motor mechanic so I know what works. Preen use to work years ago but the new formula is a waste of my money. Also the new type of foaming spray goes all over the place. Show details

Do not like new formula – I used to use this all the time and I was very impressed that it took out even turmeric stains on the first go. Didn't have much of a smell to it and was very effective. Now they have got this new version of the product however and it is terrible. It has this very nasty chemical smell and I opened the windows the first time I used it and then… Read more

bought something else next time I was at the supermarket. Very weird decision to change the formula given the other one worked very well and was even recommended by Choice I believe.

Tattoo ink? Nah son, gone – So, I spilt black tattoo ink on my wool carpet. I tried a handful of products recommended to me and nothing worked, I thought all was lost so I bought all the tools to patch the 500mmx500mm square. Ruined Brand New White Sneakers! – My daughter somehow got a few small drops tomato sauce on her brand new white cotton sneakers. Terrible!!! I am so upset – Back In May 2017 my partner and I bought a new dooner cover & pillow cases. I have always wanted white ones I begged my partner of 8 years to have them. Finally he agreeed & I found the perfect ones, they were way over our price range at $160. He knew how much I wanted them and when & bought them for us. I was so happy they looked so nice on our… Read more

bed what I have always dreamed of. I wash our bed linen regulary every one or two weeks. Today when I was washing our bed linen I noticed our new white dooner cover & pillow cases where looking a little 'dull' I guess that's what's expected when you white linen. the oils from our skin rubbing off has made our white pillows look quite dirty. So before I washed them I sprayed a little Vanish Preen Spray on the pillow cases & at the top of the dooner where our faces rub. Hoping they would go back to being nice & white again. When I got them out of the wash machine to hang on the line. I was completely horrified, every where I sprayed the Vanish spray has left yellow/brown stains... I honestly can't believe it $160 dooner cover set ruined only after a few months!!!!! I quickly googled how to fix it & I can't.... plus read 100's of other complaints saying Vanish peer spray has ruined their white garments as well. I have just sat here and cried, these sheets where a real luxury to me that's a lot of money that's now been ruined. I know crying over sheets probably sound stupid but they were something I really loved as I have always wanted them. I am so unhappy with this product, why don't you have a warning not to use on whites as it will totally wreck it? I am completely devastated!
