Good Steam Mop – I recently purchased a Steam Glide VAX VX 89 Steam Cleaner which is a wonderful cleaning tool! It has dramatically changed the way I clean my floors! The design is sleek and modern, making it easy to maneuver around furniture, and it glides across the floor smoothly with ease. It heats up quickly, and within seconds, it is ready to use. The steam power is amazing and I even can control the amount of steam. The VX89 sanitizes my floors without the need for harsh chemicals, which is not only better for the environment, but also for the health of my family and pets. However I always use my Microfiber Flat Mop to wipe the residual water of the hard floor in order to absorb the little moisture and fluff which are left behind by the steam cleaner. It also aloes to walk on the floor right away. The mop pads are easy to attach and remove, and the fact that they are machine washable saves me money in the long run. The water tank is large enough ( 330ml ) to cover a good amount of space, and I appreciate that it produces constant steam throughout the cleaning process, making my floors gleaming clean. Overall, I would recommend this steam mop to anyone in the market for a reliable and effective cleaning tool. Surprisingly it a comes with several attachments such as Carpet glider, Concentration nozzle and Cooling tray. Unfortunately it does not come with measuring cup to refill the water tank. I hope the unit will last longer than my Kmart Steam Mop which was a terrible disappointment.

Vax Steam Glide Steam Mop – I have quite large floor areas and it cleans very well. Purchased set of extra pads from Harvey Norman and the pads are better quality than the pad that comes with the mop. I usually fill the tank 1-2 times per mop. Not bad for the money.

Extremely disappointed with the very short life of this VX89 steam mop – We bought this steam mop from Big W on 29/12/19, based on the recommendation of Choice magazine. It worked well during the first year of use, so we were happy with its functionality. However, early this year it started generating less steam than normal, even at its maximum setting. I checked for any blockages following the manual's instructions but could not find any. I contacted Customer Service and I was told that the machine was out of warranty as the purchase had been done a bit more than a year before (The warranty is for 1 year).
Then I dismantled the steam head to check whether there was any blockage inside it. But everything was fine. I came to the conclusion that the resistance must not be generating enough heat to produce the required steam.
I decided to call again VAX Customer Service to check where I could buy a replacement heater resistance. I was informed that this product did not have the heater as a spare part. The manager would not consider extending the warranty for a few months.
So we are left with no other option than to put it down for Council collection. This less than a year and a half from the date of purchase. Not exactly a reliable product!
Needless to say I'd not recommend this brand to anyone and would not buy from them ever again.
