What a rort – What do you call this. What a ripoff it won't cool down a room at all. Doesn't stay at set temperature. Blows warm air all the time and won't stay at set temperature .All these reviews are saying there air cooler won't blow cool air. No wonder it's discontinued. Doesn't cool down a 5metre square bedroom – Not very strong to cool down an average size bedroom. And yes I have the exhaust going out the window. Very disappointed as I have had it for years but this is the second summer Ive needed to use it. For the $400+ Ive spent I should have just put a wall mounted air conditioner in for an extra $600.  Show details

Not happy – Hi ! Just few minutes feel the cool air when it set for 16 deg . Then after, it start realising hot air and feel like turned on the heater . I have no idea what to do with the product . This product has been gifted by one of my friend .  Show details

Terrible – Was never cold cold enough. It was very quiet but just didn't cool very well. After about a year of having it it just stopped blowing out air and was making a terrible high-pitched noise. Warranty was only 1 year so, this really was a huge waste of money. Do not recommend.  Show details

Need a user manual – It's ok, I think when it kicks into full blast it could be a little quiter but in general it's not a noise that bothers you. Just wish it would maintain staying on full blast so that the room would cool a lot quicker. Love the machine but I need a manual so I can learn how to service it.  Show details

Excellent – Blows out freezing cold air, works well and energy efficient. Highly recommend for a bedroom. Also has a sleep setting so you can have it turn off for during the night. Has a remote also, it's small in size and nice and quiet which is great coz so many are so loud

Just bought mine – It is a air conditioner you do not add water. Installed in bedroom looking good for cooling. Do not add water.

The problem turned out to be sloppy assembly and lack of foresight to secure the copper capillary tubes of the thermostats. So, i tied the tubes to keep them from the case but not firmly that might otherwise cause work fatigue due to vibration.

My viali vpa12btu only just manages to 'keep up'. Granted, a day of 44c is extreme but it only managed to keep it at 31c. This was in a room 2.8x3m. I was later told by seller that the 12,000btu model won't help much for temperatures over 37c. Bit late to be told that methinks. (the exhaust tube was kept as short as possible and to the manual's spec's. It was also well lagged so as not to heat the room.)

would recommend to a friend, or enemy, for a smaller room, perhaps a two seater dunny, or if it came with a deflector so you could sit in the air stream. Other than all the above, it's ok mate (i hate being called 'mate'!!! None of my friends call me 'mate' nor i them) Neat, Manageable, able to be stored in wardrobe. Would like to be able to deflect air lower than horizontal

Does what is needed – Great value. Simple. Works great. Easy to install. This was a great purchase and seems to work efficiently. Slightly bug not too noisy for thus type of unit. Can't imagine now getting through a steamy humid summer without it. Sure we'd all love ducted air but this is fine for small single room areas or the lounge. Works great A bit awkward looking with outlet vent
