Great machine! If you can get one, get one – Just got one of these second hand in great condition on Gumtree. The good reviews for this machine are warranted. It is a solid unit with great suction. Hopefully I never need to replace machine.

Victa Vac 500 – The Victa Vac 500 should never have been discontinued. Without a doubt was the very best outdoor Vacuum ever made. Should I be fortunate in finding another I would most certainly purchase it.

Have had one for many years, a great unit – one day it would not go, i went and purchased the new model which turned out to be no ware as good as the original.As i now read reviews many people would agree. Just before taking the old machine to the tip, I called in to my local repairer, how lucky was i. Today my patience was rewarded as I again searched gumtree and couldn't believe it when one had just been listed only a couple a suburbs away and for just $15. It looks like it has done very little work and the bag looks almost new. I have only used it once so far but it works so much better than my Ryobi blower vac. Really light and easy to use. So for all those who bother to write reviews I say a big thankyou.

1500 which was totally inadequate. However, I transplanted the 1400W motor from the VBE 1500 and now my VV 500 is twice as powerful. That's why it is called VacZilla.

in a larger degree of obsolescence so sales could increase. If this is the case, looks like it will backfire as the MV 1200 Mini Vac is useless. It couldn't suck a handful of fairy floss into its bag.

Beware - not same as old ones – be aware that the impeller is now plastic and not the metal item from the old favourite that lasted many years. I am not sure what to buy now as the bigger version gets poor reviews and a new one of this model is sure to last only a couple of years at most once sticks and rocks destroy the impellor. old one very good new one has plastic impeller

Stil going strong – I have had this Vac for 20 plus years and it is still going strong . So light and easy to use ,just plug it in and away you go. Even the kids can use it which has to be a bonus . Thank you Victa for such a good product. So easy to use

Excellent – Great, wondeful, love it. I have tried other syles of units and thrown them away but this little baby works for me. I would recommend this unit to anyone without a doubt. Best thing thing sliced bread. Don't have to worry about lugging a heavy vac around. Liight and easy to use. Unit falls over due to weight in bag landing on where cord exits unit which could be problematic.
