I have thrown my stove in the bin. From the very first use it was a disaster. One burner blocked up and stopped working on the first use. Had to pull it apart and clean the gas port. Looked to have a small Piece of plastic stuck in it. Next use the igniter stopped working and one burner began to make a screaming noise, so loud I was scared it was going to explode.

Third use one knob just kept turning and no gas came out.

So p*ssed off as by now I had taken to bringing along a small portable gas can cooker.

Through it in the bin as it was a week out of warranty and BCF stated there was nothing they could do.

Purchased in for $129.

Two returns due to Faulty units – Unfortunately we have had to return two and had two friends return theirs also. Ignition switch stopped working and one gas jet didn’t work. Also friends grills didn’t work. Such a shame it’s a sturdy unit but after having 4 out 4 having to be returned we are getting another brand. bcf staff fantastic returned no issue. I do wonder if that’s because they have had so many come back they are use to it.

Disappointed – The noise coming from grill was alarming so I took it back and the BCF fix-it bloke agreed with me. It didn't sound at all right so he replaced it without question. The new one sounded a little less frightening but then I tried the grill out to make a simple piece of toast and what a disaster. The cooking area is the size of an infant's hand so to toast a slice of bread you'd need to move it around at least three times, each side, and even then you'd be lucky to get it right.

Don't even think of trying to grill a steak or a bit of fish.

BCF staff were terrific and I was offered an immediate refund but the product itself is truly open to question.

Purchased in at BCF Physical Store for $135.

Dissapointing ! – Purchased from BCF believing it to be the latest and greatest. The knob you turn for the piezo ignition became impossible to turn after only a few uses. The grill design has it with a "Hot spot" dead in the centre of it which means that when you grill toast or cook anything, the uneven heat results in the centre of the food being burnt to a crisp. When we tried using the grill with processed cheese on toast, the cheese caught fire !

The stove looks good with its stainless steel top plate and styling, but it is a lemon of a stove and we took it back for a full refund.

A far better one of its kind was the Spinifex two burner stove with Griller which we bought the year before from Anaconda for the Campervan. Unfortunately that model is no longer made. It has a griller which gives even heat spread over the food under it and does a perfect job.

With a redesign of the griller, and the piezo ignition mechanism, the Wanderer would be a sure fire winner. For the life of me I cannot imagine why the stove design in the Wanderer, took such a giant step backwards. Zero out of ten from us. It was a waste of time and money all round.

Excellent Portable cooker with twin burners and a grill – Purchased this for my small yacht and it's perfect. The twin burners supply plenty of heat and the griller under the burners is great for grilling and/or toasting. It connects to a 3/8 gas bottle but they're easy enough to locate or convert POL to 3/8. It comes fully assembled and folds into a neat compact size. We use this Wanderer 2 Burner LPG Stove With Grill for general cooking and toast and our Gasmate Voyager for BBQing. They use the same POL gas bottle but the Gasmate needs an adaptor.
