Westinghouse 2 Slice Toaster

Nice looking toaster – It is an excellent toaster with wide slots for larger crumpets or slices of bread. It works and looks good as well. It perfectly fits my needs because of its 2 slice features, reputable brand and price. 100% recommended.

from home baked or shop-bought unsliced bread, which is difficult to slice thinly. The lowest setting, 1 of 6, will burn toast easily, and we have worked out that we use that setting for the first session from cold, then use reheat until the toast's brown. Otherwise you end up with bread with a thin coating of carbon, rather than brown toast. That's when you don't end up with a kitchen full of smoke if not sufficiently vigilant. We have been too scared to us settings higher than 1: I suspect setting 6 would turn wood into charcoal for the BBQ. On top of all that, the metal frame which forms the top of the slots gets very hot and is a significant burn hazard, especially when any bread but the thinnest sandwich loaf gets caught easily. We keep wooden tongs on standby to remove jammed bread. Absolutely not recommended, look elsewhere, indeed this is a seriously dangerous piece of kit. I can't wait to throw ours in the bin, frankly this toaster is junk and should be removed from the market.
