very disapointed with the oven Door – We built our new home 10 years ago and after a few years (4-5 years) the over door wasn't closing properly so I had a service man come and look at it and he said you can't fix the hinges, you have to replace the door. When you buy something new you expect it to last. Now the knobs are ugly, the coating has come off them and the front of the oven dosent look very nice, I won't be buying Westinghouse again

Very disappointing, caused a fire – I just purchased my first home with my partner and it has this oven, now we need to fork out money we don't have to buy a new oven. It's a shame because my partner loves to cook but it burns everything before it cooks it. Today we attempted to use it to cook some eggs but before they could cook it set alight probably from overheating trying to compensate for the hot air escaping. So I guess you could say it nearly burnt down our house.

June 27th 2017 Update: Very disappointing, caused a fire.

Since my last review Electrolux have contacted me but turns out their service is worse than their ovens. Looks like the once good brand has lost its ways so I strongly recommend everyone to steer clear.

Door will not close properly – Disappointed with this oven, door won't close and by the looks of things nothing can be done to fix it, not fit for purpose should all be replaced what a joke. Will not recommend or buy another Westinghouse product.  Show details

Door hinge failure – I am very disappointed with this oven. After just over 5 years (I had purchased an extended warranty term for 5 years), the door hinges have failed resulting in heat escaping around the door surrounds. oven for over 15 years and was very happy with its performance. From the comments I have read in this forum and others, this is a frequently occurring problem which Westinghouse have failed to address.

I will never purchase another Westinghouse appliance or recommend one to others.

Sick of this useless product after only 7 years – When you buy an oven you expect to get a good 10 to 15 years out of it. You buy Westinghouse because you are trying to buy home grown quality. damaged knobs and the cupboards around it. I will never buy this product again. Now have to pay for a new oven and replacement doors on either sides for my cabinets. Would not recommend Westinghouse to anyone. So angry and disappointed.

Worst oven ever! – Door has never closed properly....got hinges replaced(at our expense)....lasted 2 months...I would never recommend Westinghouse again, we are just about to build again, and will not be buying a house lot of Westinghouse again due to this unfixed problem! I googled this problem and are overwhelmed at the exact problem everybody else has had! Last repairer told me it was a fault and they all should of been replaced

No problem until fan started to rattle on and off during cooking – 2008 in our new home, we removed the old oven & replaced with this model as my previous home. I had the same model since 1999, extremely happy with this model. The last 3 weeks, problems with fan sounding loose then it will stop, later during cooking will start again.

Terrible – Had mine for 5 years door never shut properly element never worked had to replace and needs replacing again never buying Westinghouse again!!!! Terrible quality!!! Wouldn't recommend buying this product nothing but trouble Have never had to replace hinges or elements on any of my other ovens and I had them a lot longer than this!

replace them therefore the front of the oven looks awful! Never again will I buy a Westinghouse product, this oven has completely turned me off!!

Door loose – Worked perfectly for 5 years! Good temperature control and not too much humidity. But now the door hinge is loose and from reading around it looks like a difficult fix. Also, the electronic buzzer goes off randomly now.

Thermostat – Oven 6 years old..Thermostat makes increasing clicking noise when temperature selected..Often stops when door closed firmly..Thermostat unreliable when say 100 degrees becomes 250 .. All of oven front becomes terribly hot

Thermostat Issues – Just on 12 months old and the Thermostat thinks 100 degrees is 250 degrees so cannot cook anything. Even when working it couldn't hold a high temperature. Would not recommend.

Disappointed – I have one of these ovens and I'm very disappointed with it. The door has never shut properly since new, leaking heat into the room every time it is used. The kitchen becomes a sauna in summer, so I use it as little as possible. the oven can be switched off is by the main switch on the wall!

I am seriously thinking of replacing this oven rather than waste any more money on it. Pretty poor for an oven that's only 5 years old Honestly, not much Cheap, nasty quality

hinge design is inadequate and unfit for the product it is used on. The door, with the slightest drop, will buckle and then not close tightly.

Fix for PON667S – The door doesn't close because there is a VERY small amount of wear on the outside bottom of the slots that the door hinges slide into. Withdraw the door, slide the whole oven out of the cabinet about 50mm. Loosen the two screws at the bottom. I used a junior hacksaw blade, but you should be able to use anything of similar thickness. until it is at the bottom of the slot, break off the bottom of the blade, and tighten the screw. Do the same on both sides. Put door in, and Bingo! An oven that works again! I have tried this and this is the only thing that will work without calling out a technician.

Problems with the door closing

Not happy – Overall we're not very happy with this product. We have a matching Westinghouse dishwasher that we are equally unhappy with so the brand is certainly not high on our list. wonder if this is related to the inaccurate temperature readings because of loss of heat through the door. We've also had a lot of grease buildup between the two glass panels on the door window and for the life of me I don't know how to get in there to clean it!

Terrible – I would nto recommend this oven to anyone. Mine is less than 12 months old and I am looking to replace it because of the poor temperature control. I have found that everything takes much longer to cook because the heat is escaping through the top of the door. It came in white and that it is hard to buy a white oven these days. The heat escapes from the door. I was told this was to keep the wall unit cool.

OK – Not bad for price. Good follow up service from Electolux service technician. Would notpurchase again but would go for better sturdier product. Nice looking stainless steel fininsh to fit modern decor. Not very good quality. Door has warped over time (2 yrs old) and supports had to be replaced. Door would not seal properly causing heat to escape whilst cooking.

Door doesn't close! – Moved into a house recently and this oven was already installed when the kitchen was recently renovated. The features are good and the oven looks nice. many people with this model have the same problem and it's not a simple fix.

If Westinghouse can fix this hinge issue then I would recommend the oven however this oven uses way too much energy as hot air is leaking out the front through the gap. features and ease of use door doesn't close properly
