Noisier than old version
This is the second purchase of this refrigerator for a holiday home. The first worked well after the following modification.
After installing aluminium tubes purchased from Bunnings and securing them with cable ties food does not touch the rear panel and freeze. Our first fridge has been reliable and silent.
The latest model WRM2400WE X makes a different sound when running. The previous model had a low level buzz which was no problem. The latest version gives off a low level pulsating sound which is less than optimal in an open plan setting
The technician sent by Westinghouse advised that a different ‘reciprocating’ compressor was fitted and that was more efficient. .
My preference would be for the original compressor.
Purchased in January 2021 at Appliances Online for $800.00.
