I bought this oven 3 years ago and rented the property out I have recently moved in and have come to realise this oven is rubbish. It takes 20 minutes longer to cook anything in the oven and I have to boost the temperature up an extra 30 degrees to… Read more

get a result like 210 Celsius to cook something that should cook easily at 180. I came from a house with an old stand alone gas oven with a fan and it is 30 years old and 10 times more affective at cooking. This Westinghouse oven is garbage. Do not buy Westinghouse ovens they seem to be very faulty.

Follow-up  · answering the questions that I have received. Renters rarely say anything and did not complain so I don't know what they thought. I think the warranty had run out within 2 years of purchase so what support can I hope to receive No other issues that I can think of just the oven is not that good

My brand new oven had a faulty thermostat from install. Once I realised it was barely reaching 150C I called the retailer who sent the local Electrolux agent. From diagnosing the fault to installing the new part took 5 weeks and several follow-up calls, including one to Electrolux. I was assured it was 'fixed' though the serviceman' gauge reported… Read more

it was under heating by 15 degrees. A batch of scones in a 235C oven are still barely cooked inside and hardly browned.

I'm ready to take it the dump. I do not recommend Westinghouse ovens

Don’t buy a Westinghouse oven – I am sure if one of their own staff or state manager had this happen to their oven they would replace it. They are saying it is my fault for not taking out the side racks. I have had a professional cleaner try and clean it and he has also said it shouldn’t have done that. Please be very wary when dealing with Electrolux Show details

Door would not close on installation and now there is a issue within a month we’re nothing works on the oven – I need help with this I’m hoping it’s a minor issue. As the oven is very new as in month old. And I paid a small fortune to get it installed. So if there’s a simple fix please let me know. Help arrived and was fixed the door lock was faulty sadly as mentioned a new item. Show details

It's an oven – Runs a bit cool - hard to get hot enough for a ripping good pizza. Cooking timer is not very intuitive or easy to use. Steam oven function is average. Air fryer is pretty good. Love the pyro function. Show details

Air fry but not really – Gave air fry a go and it took the same amount of time as a convection fan forced oven with no better result. Westinghouse confirmed it doesn't save time like a bench top air fry unit.... When I pointed out the website saying it saves time, they said that's compared to on oil fryer not an oven.... So its just a fan forced oven, don't expect air frying.. Show details

good all round oven – have had for 4 months and so far so good. still getting used to using the air fryer and steam bake. only negative i have found is the wire racks with a lip at from making it difficult to get bakeware out of the oven - especially trays. would have preferred the usual straight front racks - would happily pay to get another wire rack if possible. on plus the slide in cookie tray is well designed and a fantastic idea Show details

FIVE Issues and Still Not Fixed – Not long after purchasing it completely shut down with error f239. Technician came out and replaced something at the back. It worked for a short while then same thing happened. Another technician came out and requested a new unit. New oven was installed a week ago and the up and down arrows don't work which means it cant be used. Now waiting for a… Read more

response from Westinghouse. I have an oven that doesn't work and the old oven is still sitting in front of my front door. We were about to place an order for a new Westinghouse Fridge but will be going with the LG now. UPDATE: The front panel was replaced to address the issue with the buttons not working. 5 days later, the oven has stopped working again! Now the fan doesn't come on and the oven doesn't warm up. Have just emailed Electrolux again and waiting for a response. UPDATE 12/12/2021: It has now been 11 weeks since Westinghouse approved a refund and I still don't have the refund. They advised me in writing that it would take 4-6 weeks. I've emailed and called several times. No-one replies or actions my emails and the guy that said he would call me back same day (3 weeks ago) has not. Looks like we'll have no oven for Christmas! The product quality is extremely poor and the customer service is even worse.

And when I try to leave a review on Westinghouse's site I get an "error submitting the form". How convenient!

Love! – We recently purchased this oven and absolutely love it. It heats up super quick and cooks evenly. The air fryer function is great to crisp things up (especially roast veggies) and perfect to reheat food in. The colour of the oven is really sleek and easy to clean. Highly recommend  Show details

Very good oven so far – Seems to be a very straight forward oven to use. The design is very good and looks stylish in the kitchen. Every thing we have cooked has come out very well. The oven heats well and the food is evenly cooked. So far very pleased with the oven. Only complaint the manual comes on line, as do most things now days. Not the best if you don't have a computer. Also no instructions or recipes for using the air fryer. Show details

Great Oven that is simple to use – We renovated our kitchen and we wanted to purchase 'middle of the road' appliances that was within our budget. We can't recommend Kate @ E&S Chadstone enough. She was knowledgeable, patient and very helpful. After several brands we decided on Westinghouse and one of the reasons was that the ovens are made in South Australia. We bought two ovens… Read more

side by side. The WVEP618DSC and this one - WVEP617DSC. They are similar in function except the 618 has Steam Assist & Touch Screen. Both ovens work exceptionally well and I tend to use the 617 model more as it has a dial for the settings and a dial to set the temperature. Super Easy and it has a pizza cooking function! What more can I ask for? It's very easy to be dazzled by all the latest tech in ovens and if you are a gourmet cook, there are ovens that can do amazing things. If your used to cooking a particular way and want to continue that way, then the Westinghouse oven will do that. Both ovens have an Airfry setting and tray and work well. We haven't used the Pyrolytic Cleaning function as yet. These are great ovens that are easy to use.

Just be mindful when installing the oven, they are a full size rectangular oven. There is no 'dip' in the back to allow for space for a the piping for a gas cooktop. Just make sure your measurements are correct.

If you need to get through to Customer Service, well that takes a bit of time... (Maybe because everyone in Victoria was coming out of lockdown)

U need to download your own user manual! +Poor knowledge at retail distributor – With a price tag of well over $1000, I am amazed that the product doesn't even come with a user manual in the package. Funny that even relatively much less costly home appliances that I bought lately all have instruction manuals including my Smeg microwave, Cook4Me pressure cooker, Philips Airfryer. I have downloaded but they should have at least… Read more

a easy reference booklet of some sort. I think Westinghouse is just not v customer focused. Also, it's strange that even the HN retail sales person does not know where to put/ fill the water for the steam assist function to work! Apparently I dont see the point of buying at the shop and just bought online instead! If u like the product, Westinghouse expects u to support yourselves from downloading your manual to reading all details to find out how to operate it!! In the meantime after almost half a year, I am still scrambling with minor troubleshooting (even the manual now downloaded is not very helpful!) So beware! All DIY!! or be prepared for long waiting time ringing up support desk! As for my next purchase I will definitely put other manufacturers first who are more caring.
