This oven has an auto off timer which means the oven turns itself off once the set time is reached. This may be a safety feature (and probably on many ovens), but not helpful if there's a delay getting to the oven to check on food, only to find the timer has shut down the oven 10 minutes ago. This is especially annoying when baking cakes that don't respond well to losing heat part way through cooking. The cake is ruined because many don't respond well to losing heat if the door is opened, let alone if the oven is turned off before cooking is complete. My previous Westinghouse oven provided the timer with an auto off or timer function only. This was a functional option, and gave me control over when my oven would turn off when the timer was used. Yes, I know I can manage this problem by using Siri for cooking times, but this reinforces the poorly thought out auto off timer, and pointless control on this new oven. Almost $1500 of oven that I'm now stuck with for at least 10 years, and it doesn't even cook evenly. Poorly researched on my side.
