Oven door explodes when using pyrolytic cleaning – This oven is not fit for sale. The first time I used the pyrolytic cleaning function the internal glass exploded. I contacted Whirlpool and waited several weeks for a technician to come out, confirm the issue, then another several weeks for him to return with the replacement glass. The technician told me that there must have been a fault in the… Read more
glass, that the oven wouldn't do that normally. The second time I used the pyrolytic cleaning function the internal glass exploded again. I won't waste my time with replacing the glass again. This oven is dangerous.
Great product – Easy to use and easy to clean. Have had no issues with it. I also got the induction stove top which is a dream to clean and is really fast and efficient Food cooks evenly. Oven holds temperature well The oven is simple to clean It is a simple oven but meets our needs well Show details
Has never worked properly from new. Cooling fan loud & runs for over 1hr. Warranty service poor – Purchased from The Good Guys using their installer. One of the main issue with this oven is cooling fan is very loud & runs for over an hour no matter how long you use the oven for. Good guys felt this was a warranty claim, contacted electrician who organised with warranty provider Arisit (who are responsible Whirlpool in Australia) to have it… Read more
assessed. Arisit blamed installation & advised electrician to cut into kitchen kickboard to provide more ventilation, no change. Never had this issue with previous ovens. Technician came out again and advised that 1hr of cooling is normal for this oven and Arisit closed the case. We now don't understand why they didn't say that in first place and why have a hole cut into our kitchen, which they won't come a repair if an hour running time is normal. Arisit were rude and very difficult to deal with. Currently building and will never purchase a Whirpool or any other brand than Arisit are a warranty provider for.
DANGEROUS - Exploding internal glass self clean feature – Oven purchased from Good Guys, used self clean function and the internal glass exploded within 20 mins. Full instructions followed. Aristat warranty agent 2 x calls to get complaint lodged, still waiting for repair 1 x month later. DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNSAFE. Show details
Shattered glass on first Pyro cycle – Oven works well but pyro is dangerous and caused the oven to explode and glass to shattered. Followed all instructions to the letter. Removed all trays, sides, etc. Happened after 20 minutes of 120 minute cycle. Show details
Glass shattered after pyro clean cycle on a 4 month old oven – Bought this oven four months ago and it cooked great. did one pyro function after 2 months with no problems. 4 months after I bought it I did another pyro clean function. The inner glass exploded out of the bottom part of this oven and completely shattered. I was in the kitchen at the time and got minor burns from the glass pieces. called warranty… Read more
number, no concern at all for an obviously defective major fault problem. they just wanted to replace the glass as if I could trust this oven again. do not buy. I'm just grateful my 5year old son was not in the kitchen at this time. Now I will have to see how hard I have to argue to get a full refund for a product that is very dangerous and injured me.
Has never worked from new, Arisit difficult to deal with – Purchased from The Good Guys for what I thought was a great price. From installation, this oven immediately gave two fault codes. Electrician organised with warranty provider Arisit (who are responsible Whirlpool in Australia) to have it assessed. Four attempts at repair, still broken. Arisit have refused to replace the oven, and palmed off to the… Read more
retailer. The Good Guys were initially not interested either as they have de-ranged all Whirlpool products. Now both companies are saying take back for store credit, with no consideration for the amount of hours wasted, days lost and frustration dealing with a brand new oven that never worked.
Tip: Avoid all products from Arisit unless you would actually enjoy an atrocious warranty and after sales support service.
Very nice budget Pyrolytic oven – Cheap oven bought 40% off from good guys to replace out of warranty Bunnings "bellini" garbage (failed one month out of warranty, Bunnings service were uninterested in helping). The oven is remarkably quiet, gets nice and hot very fast. easy to clean, AND is pyrolytic aswell. The basic "analogue" style of the controls is really appealing and the oven is far less cryptic to use than other ovens we have owned.
