Never buy a whirlpool induction cooktop – This is the worst product. Please do not purchase it. We had a state of the art Cleanmaid induction cooktop which was damaged. And through insurance this is apparently the best we cooks get. It is so bad it’s hard to seart I why. Buttons not responsive. Nowhere near powerful enough. Too many zones on the go and it cuts power to all. Why have 8… Read more
zones of that all cannot be on at once? Putting to power on 8 or 10 or ever 12 out of a maximin 19(P) and the solenoid underneath cycles off and on repeatedly meaning it heats then stops then heats then stops.
I just knew it when they sent this to us but for some stupid reason we accepted this totally inferior and terrible product.
Unless a miracle happens and they want to send us a better product I will never ever be purchasing a whirlpool product again or from any of their parent or subsidiaries and I’ll continue to tell everyone I can that th or products are just cheap and nasty (or in this case more expensive and still nasty.
Just terrible form @whitlpool Thanks, Luke
excellent – found very easy to use, power levels are appropriate, particularly fast heat very easy y to clean was very easy to install even though electrician fee was very expensive - with isolating switch Show details
Broke after 18 months. Tech cracked the glass – My premium induction cooktop Whirlpool SMP658CNEIXL was working fine for 18 months until 2/8 hotplates stopped working. They sent out a technician who then cracked the glass cooktop, rendering it useless. He then left without fixing it and whirlpool have only offered $249 store credit to put towards a new cooktop. So now I have no functioning… Read more
cooktop and I'll be massively out of pocket to have the situation fixed. Apparently there's no cooktops of the same model in the country either, so if they're selling them then I'm being lied to. Avoid.
Much better and easier than expected – Extremely fast, very attractive, in spite of people telling us how difficult these hobs are to use, it took us one day. Not sure about the 6th sense, but all may be reavealed! Show details
Fantastic Product – This cooktop is incredible! It is so versatile with all the possible cooking zones. It heats up so quick. We use it every day and just LOVE IT!! My husband loves the control he has over the temperature and how quick it adjusts. Show details
Too sensitive – The sensors are way too sensitive. If the pan water boils over or a bit of fat from a pan gets on the cooking zone it shuts the whole thing down. It happens at less 2 a week. To restart you have to take every pan off, wipe the top so there is not a speak of water/fat/dirty for it to start. I was accidentally split water on the open switch and this turned the stovetop on! Way too sensitive. Terrible – The sensors that "sense" boil over are too sensitive. Small amounts of condensation when cooking shuts the entire stove off. A light spray when cleaning sets off an uncontrollable beeping. I contacted customer support and was told this was normal. Show details
Just amazing – Brilliant, easy to use, no more baked on junk like you get on a ceramic top. 8 zones all independent or combined as you like, and all with separate timer. The 6th sense function is fantastic as it takes a lot of the guesswork out of the process. The timer lets you get other things done without concern for boiling dry etc.
