Very high quality products – I've had one of their bamboo motorised sit/stand desks for about 3.5 years now and only recently (around 6 months or so ago I purchased their monitor arms) and the quality of their products is amazing. I haven't had a single issue with the desk or the dual monitor arm. The instructions they provide are also straightforward and intuitive to follow… Read more

for setting up your product.

I'm not sure why their website is down, but no doubt it's for a good reason - I think one speculation could be due to supposedly one of the owners of Zen Space Desks making another competitor company (I read this in another article so I don't know of its validity) - perhaps there's a lawsuit in the background that none of us know about.

I can only assume people having issues with orders and the website going offline is linked, perhaps this has been building for some time.

If Zen Space Desks comes back I can 100% recommend you try their products, they're nothing short of amazing.

Dishonest company fails to meet demand after several months of excuses – I bought this desk in early July with ETA August. With several emails detailing the various reasons that it had been delayed (and requests not to email them about it as this would impact on their productivity), at last on 27/09 I received an email that my order was completed and just waiting delivery. I never received the email from the courier… Read more

company that they had received it from Zen. What I did receive two weeks afterwards (10/10), was an email that they "have fallen short of the sufficient stock to fulfil your order." Interesting that they could have 'completed' the order and then not have had stock to complete my order within one fortnight. While they have provided a full refund, that's months of not having the money available, nor a desk to show for it. Save yourselves the trouble and go through a different company for a desk!

Significant delays and desk that won't work – After significant delays and little to no communication. I finally received my desk only for it to be faulty and not work at all. No one answers calls and are very slow to reply to emails. After another week I finally received another control box only for the desk to have ANOTHER error and still won't work. Do yourself a favour and buy your desk from somewhere else. Show details

Zen Space Desk pre-order – I ordered a Desk on 24/06/23 during a pre-order event with $100 off. On 8th July they stated deliveries were a month away. On 30th Aug they stated they were a week from receiving their deliveries, so delivery to customers should be a week later. It's now 21st Sep and still nothing. Significant delays, limited communication, no product received – I ordered a standard configuration 12/07, with an expected delivery date in August. 3 days before it was expected to arrive, I received the first email of a delay which is poor communication as it would have been known to Zen Desk for at least 1.5-2 weeks prior, in order to deliver products on time. delays, with no clear communication around the expected delivery date.

For anyone in the market for a similar product, be aware of significant delays with poor follow-up.

Update 04/09 Following my last review, there has now been an email sent on the same day advising everything is going according to delivery timelines, with an additional email advising they don't have the appropriate stock, so will now be sending orders with frankenstein colours - white/grey hardware with black desks. They have had months to follow up on stock ordering, and are still failing to meet the basics, of ordering stock for what they're selling.

Terrible with 1.8x1.8m table – Not so good experience. I just assembled my desk 1.8×1.8m, in the photos, black one is mine, white one is my friend's 1.6×1.4m. The short side of the white desk is supported by the crosshair as it's long enough to pass the connection line. But with the black desk, the crosshair is not long enough to support the connection, causing it very weak.… Read more

You see when I put some heavy cartons on the side, it sags down. I tried pushing it upby hands, then it sags down again, I feel it very unstable, not suitable to put or mount monitors on it. They should've provided 2 additional rail bars to extends the crosshair helping to support the side. So my experience with the 1.8x1.8m table is terrible.

3 weeks update: each time adjusting the height, the 2 table tops keep looosing alignment and I have to align it back by hands. I have mounted 5 monitors on 1 side, the other side are keyboards and mouses, so 1 side carries heavy stuffs and it tilts down the smaller table top. I tried talking to their customer care, and they insisted their product is fine, then no more reply from them to my facebook messages. I also commented to their facebook wall posts about the issues, then they deleted my comments. My facebook feedback in their page, and my feedback in their website (with photos) have been removed as well. This is HORRIBLE!

I feel like I have to deal with every issue in their product myself after they have taken my money. They even argue with customer, trying to justify there hassles, dragging customer around their chat channels, and saying they're professional. See how needless and rude they can be.

Great standup desk and great service – Worked with Karly at Zen Space Desk to get a competitive price on a mechanical desk and was also given a tour of the different options. Has some brain-dead obvious issues, but works great once you're all set up – A few major issues I came across: - The supplied powerboard sockets for the larger desks are horrendous. It seems almost impossible to push any power cord into the socket. Would strongly recommend not paying extra for these! - The instruction manual does not properly differentiate between the different screw types. This was frustrating to set up.… Read more

- Error messages are not explained in the document, instead you are told to call the help desk. Seems like an easy way to save customer's time would be to explain the error message in the instruction manual. - The cable management bracket is a bit flimsy and difficult to get things in and out.

Everything else was quite good. The legs are much heavier than expected, but it handles a heavy load quite well. Due to the obvious issues above, I find it hard to justify the $1000 price tag.

Zen desk, monitor arms with anti slip mat – Did alot of researching and decided to get the zen space desk cause it looks very sturdy up to 140kg. Thick legs compared to the competition. Opted for 1500mmx750mm which i think is ideal, 1200 is too small. Whereas 1800 is quite long. It is only good if you're planning on using a large wide monitor, or dual monitors Purchasing was abit… Read more

confusing cause even though it says cable management was included with the desk i bought "Electric Gaming Stand Up Desk | Expert". It was not specific enough, i thought it was just cable ties but turns out it was a management channel. I didn't know so i bought extra. I end up returning it which cost $20 to return.

Because of the flooding, it took longer than expected to receive the items, rescheduled about 3 times. The company zen space used was ANC "Australia National couriers" which don't have positive ratings. My experience was interesting, the day they book for delivery they did not show up. However they came the next day and it was just one guy in a truck. He did not have a trolley or anything to help him carry the items in. I had to help him carry the large top desk.. Also on the way in he was bumping the items on the wall..

Setting up didn't take too long, the instructions was straight forward. Only confusion would be that if you purchase the desk that came with Cable management channel then the desk doesn't include any screws to mount the motor control panel. Instead just put it inside the management channel...Also the instructions seem to be outdated cause the screws mention was different to the ones provided...

Anti slip mat is straight forward and easy to you. You just stand on it. Its spongy/cushion so you find yourself standing longer without getting tired. Monitor arms is okay, however not sure if its me but if i type too quickly i notice the monitor would have a little shake..

Zen space desk is probably most expansion compared to the competition but after using it for few weeks now i love it and highly recommend it.

Warning: They use Direct Freight Express to deliver to Perth – My experience ordering the desk was great but unfortunately delivery has been problematic. when typing or drawing on my tablet even when max speed touch typing or using the mouse aggressively for gaming.

I purchased the under slung cable management and while I certainly could have gotten other options from IKEA their version works well and out of the box with 2 large power boards in it and saved a lot of time.

It isn't dead silent on rising but I don't worry about waking up anyone while they are sleeping, its probably under 45 db. The lift action is quick even with my pc and monitors on it.

Memory function is quick and easy to use.

The price is not cheap, but you could use your own bench top, however it certainly is worth the price in terms of quality fit and finish for me.

Ultimately I would buy this again if I went back in time, it certainly looks great, feels great and came quick and I got good response from the sales team.

I am 183cm tall, and I find it comfortable.

never been so excited to purchase a desk before. Once I saw these beauties I knew that I needed one. I'm not one to jump the gun, I need to know that the product I'm purchasing is value for money, let's face it, these desks are expensive, but they are well worth it. The quality is there. What won me over was the exceptional customer service. I must have made 3 calls, asked multiple questions, however in the end I was thoroughly convinced.

It's a great desk, it doubles as my work and gaming desk. Once I placed the order I was eagerly awaiting delivery. To my surprise it was delivered within 10 days of the purchase. Instructions were easy to follow and plentiful, as they were available on the site, in a hard copy format and on YouTube. I highly recommend these desks and I am happy to upload photos in order to legitimise this review (once I clean it up and take some lol). All in all it was a great experience and a fantastic product.

Thank you.

Desk is well built but not that comfortable underneath – I'm 6'2 and I don't find this desk comfortable to use. When I'm pushed in (hard up against the lip) my knees push up against the cable tray and against the plugs. The metal bars underneath the table stick into the top of my thighs if I raise my leg even a little. I can't cross my legs while I'm sitting, nor can I cross my legs onto my chair… Read more

without sliding all the way out and sliding my chair back in. If you want to sit ergonomically correct with your legs 90 degrees and have perfect posture the desk is perfectly fine, but once you start to "slouch" and get lazy with your leg placement (who doesn't during a long gaming session) this desk is kinda awful. Tall guys beware and if you're someone who likes to sit cross-legged, don't even bother.

p.s. yes you can raise the desk so you have more leg room but then it gets to a point where the desk is so high its not comfortable to use at your current seat height and you have to raise the seat and then you're back to where you started.

Bad customer service – I ordered a desktop which required "Universal cable rail" to be ordered for cable management. It requires to drill holes in the desktop to screw the universal cable rail. was disappointed to find the holes were not drilled, as promised. I sent an email informing them and was referred to a YouTube video to follow. What kind of resolution is this? Is this the customer service I deserve after paying them close to $750? A YouTube video link?

I requested them to pre-drill because they provided this option/facility and is clearly mentioned on their website.

Melbourne is under lock-down. I don't have a drill, hence this is the reason I requested them to pre-drill. Now the whole desk is lying open in my living area, I can't travel to Bunnings as it is not within 5 kms of approved travel by the govt. and Zen Stand Up desk team sent a YouTube link as a resolution. Kudos!!

Extremely poor customer service. Let's see how the desk itself behaves over time.

Good overall, but room for improvement – I recently bought their leg system and a few accessories. Overall it was a good experience, but there are places they could have done better. ==Pre-Sales support== I asked a heap of questions and a few follow ups. They answered quickly, and answered most of them. They didn't answer some of my questions about repairability after the end of the… Read more

warranty period (which at 10 years is quite good). The manual is available online which definitely helps.

I ended up ordering: * 3 leg lifting system * Integrated cable management channel with 2 of the 1 plug boards * Pixel (which I wont be able to use until my final desk surface is ready) * Standing mat

==Ordering/Delivery== The ordering experience was simple enough. They sent me an email telling me I would get my tracking information by the end of the day. It didn't arrive, and I had to chase tracking information a few days later. Despite all the notices on their site, my consignment was delivered (to Sydney) in only 5 business days.

The next bit is more about reviewing the courier, but they selected the courier so I consider that fair. The tracking system the courier (they selected TNT in my case) was a bit laggy, so I didn't find out it was being delivered until I had missed the first delivery attempt. I rescheduled for the next day and the delivery was smooth. The TNT courier was quite helpful in getting it to the front door of my apartment, which was a fair distance from the front gate of my apartment complex.

Zenspace had included the wrong version of the Pixel. The one I was supposed to get integrates with the 1plug system, but the one they sent plugged into a regular power socket. I contacted them and they quickly sent a replacement. They were a bit slower giving me a return shipping label for the incorrect product, but that's not a huge deal.

==Unpacking and Installation== It was efficiently, though perhaps not entirely logically, packed. One part which was not great was that a grub screws which are used to adjust the crossbar length were loose in one of the boxes. This set wasn't necessary (the 2 legs with the crossbar had their screws in place ) and I'm guessing it was removed from the 3rd leg. It would have been far less confusing if they were not in the box, or left in the leg, or put in a bag rather than rattling loose. It took me a while before I worked out what they were. They also had what looks like a "standard" bag of the extras (hex keys, screws, cable clips, etc.) that had bits which were redundant for me as I did not order a desk top.

Despite there being a 3 leg version of the manual on their site, it looks like I was sent the 2 leg version. The differences are minor and I could always refer to the one on their site.

Installation is not difficult if you have assemble ikea furniture. One thing though is they recommend you construct it "upside down" and then flip it into place. This can be difficult if you have limited space. I opted for assembling the main set of legs with a crossbar, putting those in place and then attaching the desk surface from underneath. This is probably less safe (I made sure to use safety glasses and a dust mask).

Which brings me to some of the less realistic lawyer language in their documentation. They say "Do not crawl or lie under the desk frame once assembled". They should probably tell that to the person in their own "integrated cable management channel" video. Also not sure how you are supposed to do any cable management without crawling or lying under the desk frame.

==The products== The lifting system has been great. It's a sensible and reasonably flexible design. It operates how you would want and has a 10 year warranty. Only possible change I would want is the 3rd leg attaching to the other 2 rather than having it attach only to the desk top.

The cable management channel is mostly good, but isn't quite as amazing as their website and videos make out. Firstly they (like pretty much every desk and monitor arm company) show their desk in the middle of a room. Real people have it against the wall or at least another desk. If you have a cable with a plug that needs to go above the desk, you need to unclip one side of the channel and slide it in. In the video that takes about 1 second. If you have the desk against the wall (or even better in a corner) this is a fairly fiddly process. Overall working with the cable channel is clunky, and it's fairly thin so it will sag on the opposite end while you are working on securing the other one.

While they carefully don't say so on their site, you could come away thinking you only needed one power socket at the wall if you bought their "1 plug" system. You end up needing 2, one for the leg system itself and one for the "1 plug" system. They never actually lie, but they aren't up-front either. You could possibly order a "Pop" from OE Elsafe (the OEM for their "1 plug" system) if you were particular about only wanting to give up one wall socket.

Also speaking about their "1 plug" system, the connectors are easy to plug in, but quite difficult to unplug. Their is a clip/tab that latches the connectors together that is pushed against the cable management channel wall and is not visible when installed. I had to ask them how to unplug it. I tried using a flat-head screwdriver and wasn't able to get it to work. I ended up using the metal spudger from my ifixit kit, still a fiddly process. It may be possible with the right flat-head screwdriver and sufficient dexterity.

I have one other standing mat I have bought from Kogan for slightly cheaper. The zen space one is thinner, has the logo moulded into the back corner (which feels unpleasant if you are using it barefoot) and has an unpleasant smell (hard to describe, sort of mouldy, sort of synthetic rubbery) out of the box which takes a while to dissipate. It's workable, but the one I got from Kogan is slightly better and slightly cheaper.

==Summary== I raised a lot of negative sounding things, but overall I'm happy with the purchase and do not r egret ordering from Zen Space Desks. They give the feel of a small company which is overwhelmed by a sudden volume spike but trying to do the right thing.
