a tightly packed suitcase or duffle they have the potential to pick up tiny pin-prick holes which renders them useless. The Ziploc seal is good if you get it to work as the early designs were hopeless. The addition of a 'glider' to help you seal the double lock strip is a great idea, but if you are not brain-surgeon careful, the glider will tear a massive breach in the bag. Great concept. Works great - when it works. Prone to leak. Lightweight plastic not durable enough for travel.
