My 2nd one in 8 years is stuffed agin! The screen goes into another language, i cant even read what the time is to reset it after day light savings. Over $1000K what a joke for such a rubbish product. Would never recommend this poorly made product. Show details
Barely passable as a product – I bought a Zodiac chlorinator after recommendations and because of their name and supposed expertise. readings of chlorine have become erratic and inconsistent within weeks of each testing resulting in me having to monitor and test at least once a week.
Cell basically died and yep out of warranty now. Tech told me $800 to replace the cell but only 1500 to replace the controller and cell the entire unit, with a new Zodiac which actually has lower specs.
The common thread these days in this society is they aren't worth fixing so just replace and throw away. Hate that.
Was able to find a generic warrantied cell for half what the tech wanted and at this stage have put off buying a new chlorinator. So much for longevity.
Accredited Zodiac agencies tell me that this brand are low end products and that if you get more than three years out of them you've done well. Really? Can't we do better or is this just planned obsolescence to keep you coming back. Shame really.
Great system so far – I've seen all these negative reviews so I thought I would write one from my experience. This is our second year with our pool and cannot fault so far. Works well with plenty of Chlorine output.
Very disappointed! – Installed in 2020 and cell has already failed. Installed new cell and the PCB board then failed. Will not buy again.
Chlorine levels low – Recently purchased a Zodiac EI Expert Mid, 45K litre pool chemicals balanced but since purchase the chlorinator has barely kept chlorine levels maintained, I have the cell running at 100% production which is just keeping the bare mim of chlorine in pool. Chlorinator was a Zodiac Tri Mid which did a much better job of maintaining healthy levels of chlorine at only 60% of production, disappointing product the new EI Expert that does t seem to be able to maintain decent chlorine levels. wasted money and will be looking for a refund if not resolved. I’m getting fed up with buying chlorine to shock the pool every week which is also costly!!
Great salt chlorinator if it could keep time – I had my pool installed in July 2020. The salt chlorinator the pool installer provided was the Zodiac Ei Expert. it keeps resetting its time it is playing havoc with the scheduled chlorination. Would love it if Zodiac support could advise on what the issue could be.
