Bad company. Installed a hydroxinator. A month later it stops working. After almost an hour on the phone I was told someone would come fix it in 13 days. They seem to know what the problem is yet it doesn't stop them selling the unit in the first place. Poor customer service. I would advise anyone to go with a different brand.
Very poor qualify product - display and functions failed after 12 months.
The new IQ version of this was installed 12 months ago with our new pool. It worked well for 11 months and then 2 weeks ago, the display failed and all functions stopped working. Despite contacting Zodiac customer service by email and phone several times, we have not been contacted to arrange a service. In the meantime our brand new pool has turned green. Due to the poor customer service I will be Forced to buy a new product and will certainly not be buying from Zodiac. An OK product but with serious quality issues and complete absence of customer support.
Purchased in April 2019 for A$1,000.00.
Magna Pool System - Simple to use
We built our first pool which was completed in Oct 2016. We chose to install the equipment for a Zodiac Magna Pool. No problems with any Zodiac equipment until just out of the 3 year warranty. The hydroxinator cell stopped producing. We were disappointed but Lee at Zodiac was incredibly helpful and honoured her word when she said she'd call me back at a specific time. Even though the item was out of warranty it was replaced by Zodiac very quickly. This was Dec2019.
Unfortunately we are now having issues with our VX55 Robot Cleaner AND our Zodi...
Purchased in October 2016.
Questions & Answers
Anyone that has this unit could you tell me whether or not the chamber with the electrode should be full of water when it runs? Ours seems to run with the water splashing up and then out straight away so chamber is never full of water. I’m just wondering if this is normal? We’ve been having a lot of air bubbles coming out of the jets but pump window it’s minimal air bubbles so I’m wondering if it’s this part causing the air to flow through to the return jets. Appreciate anyone answering that has this unit.
The hydroxinator (the clear tube) should be full of water. If you've emptied the basket in your pump or have removed the hydroxinator for cleaning (allowing the water in the pipes to empty out) you'll have to allow the pipes and hydroxinator to fill again when you turn the pump back on. It should only take a few minutes to completely fill the pipes and your hydroxinator. In the clear tube you should see it is almost completely full of water and if the electrodes are clean and working normally you will see the water turn cloudy.
Hope this helps.
Your hydroxinator cell should be filled with water sufficiently to cover the cell plates completely. If this is a recent occurrence I would check for debris in your skimmer box, your pumps hair and lint pot and ensure that your pumps lid is secure. Its also a good idea to check the oring that sits under the lid and ensure it is not damaged as this will allows air to enter the system. Air intake is a common problem on pools, it can occur in multiple areas but most comonly it is due to a pump lid not sealing properly.
