Hunter Fans Appliances

Looks good, doesn't work – I bought this fan for a terrace, it doesn't work - it spins but air does not move. I tried both directions. The air moves to sides, but not down. I would not recommend for anyone that wants fan for cooling.  Show details

renovation in 2015 has not been at all good. Firstly, both fans made a rattling noise when switch on and continued with a low grade vibration. It was a long and protracted process in trying to have a Hunter representative come site to address the noise and lack of airflow issues for both fans. Eventually, after a few weeks the representative attended with our electrician to finally agree that a motor in one of the fans needed replacement and the other fan also needed some "adjustment". This was done. A few months later, we had issues again to be told that both capacitors needed replacing. Apparently, this has been a common problem with these fans. Again, some months later a rattle has appeared with both fans. The output with the fans has never been good. After speaking with a colleague who had installed 6 Hunter fans thinking that the quality would be commensurate with their pricing, he has confirmed that he too had to replace capacitors on several of his fans and he is also far from happy on their output performance. We are now at the point where we are looking at replacing both Hunter fans with another brand - far less expensive but with far enhanced output capacity. Very dissatisfied with a. Hunter service, b.quality of the product, c. performance of the product.
