a product this good, is a steal. No celebrity chef would go without its delicate fine tuning mechanisms from soft simmer to gentle fade away just a touch of heat precision or full boar rolling boil. A very sexy look about it; none of your little wimpy European things with too many computers here. US products are all about knobs that work not inbuilt computers that fade on you. it looked great on my bench top. When I use my wok, it seats really deep into the recessed burner works well for me.
heats up really really fast and stay super hot for as close to commercial wok rocket burner as you will get in domestic situation.
It comes with 2 cast iron grate - one for chef pan, one for wok. very considerate and both grate works really well.
Now, here is the bad part :- the workmanship of a 3500AUD single burner, it is really BAD.
as delivered, it completely don't seat flush on my bench top, some corners stuck up 5mm some have weired uneven edges, the lower compartment seems to be misaligned. I even went to winning to have a look and their demo unit is also crooked!
The local Australia distributor however have done a good job standing by the sh*t workmanship and offer to replace the steel top. they are both responsive and fast in responding to the installation team that winning sent and subsequent contacts. On the first visit, they manage to correct most of the issues by redrilling holes and fixing the crook base.
NOTE :- even after they got a new top from US, the Wolf repair guy came over... but we cannot see any difference / improvement. therefore, we just sent it back and live with what we got.
"live with what we got" is prob not a sentence that I should say when I am buying a 3500 AUD single burner stove.
That's why WOLF, you got a 3 star. if you want a really good wok burner, this works. the burner is strong and controllable. flame curl inwards and not flare out. important for such a large flame. dame workmanship.
