So much worse than the original. The beloved Fisher Paykel double dishdrawer dishwasher that came with my apartment finally packed up after 15 years… Read more
of loyal service. I looked at reviews of a lot of dishwashers and even though the dishdrawer was not recommended by many review companies, I loved the convenience of it so I splashed out and spent over two grand for a new dishdrawer. That was nearly 8 months ago, and I’ve gotta say I’m not a fan. The modern dishdrawer seems to be a lot flimsier, more plastic than metal. The cycles take much longer and at the end of a cycle I can’t say my dishes are always clean. The base of the dishwasher is designed poorly so any item that slightly protrudes interferes with the spinning wash spray arm. So countless washes have to be redone after trying to re-distribute items so they don’t interfere with the flimsy spray arm. The next problem is that for the last month or so there has been a flashing red fault light on the display for the bottom dish drawer. And yet nowhere in the documents that came with the dishwasher or in my attempts to communicate with an online Chatbot, can I get an explanation as to what that flashing symbol means. Once upon a time the instruction manual that came with the dishwasher would clearly indicate what each fault means. But not any more it seems. Instead the dishwasher is bizarrely connected to Wi-Fi for no good reason. And yet communicating via QR code to an AI Chatbot to get information and do some troubleshooting is next level infuriating. (Why can’t that wifi connection communicate the information?) Even if you include all the relevant information about the make and model (which for some st^pid reason is not written anywhere on the dishwasher but only in the documents that came with it if you bothered to keep them), the troubleshooting suggestions they provide seem to be for different models. And yes, despite doing all the troubleshooting recommended, that unexplained flashing warning symbol persists . These AI chatbots seem to be designed to infuriate rather than assist with anything.

doesn’t clean the dishes or the cutlery at all. Even after several washes. I’ve had it 5 months it cost over $2500. And I won’t use it any more. I cannot believe how bad it is. I might as well spit on the dishes it would clean them better.

order more parts to fix my appliance. I usually get F and P- really disappointing and I will think twice again about getting anything else from them. Trying to get onto someone from the company, is really hard also.

installed. Our product did not come with the vent or screws. Called Fisher and Paykel customer service who couldn't find the missing part to send out. Refused to supply a new product. By chance we found the instructions online were updated to what was sent with the product. A footnote for this specific model states the exit vent IS NOT required. The installation of the panel seems overly complicated to previous installations we have done. The actual product is a good size, so much so that the cutlery basket would be better off as a tray instead. Basic controls are easy, but if you want to use the custom settings then you have to use what looks like old technology and interpret codes. The product is average on noise and you won't get away with dry products without the rinse aid. From my experience, the majority of Fisher and Paykel products are ordered on consignment and you simply can't go back to your store to swap for a new one if there is an issue. They are not cheap products however generally last longer. Fisher and Paykel's customer service has long call waiting periods, poor understanding of their products, and are unwilling to correct their errors and assist customers. I would look elsewhere for a product due to this.

Even on the highest and most intense setting, 50% of the cutlery in the cutlery tray comes out dirty. The other dishes are better but still hit and miss. Not terribly good at cleaning dirty dishes. Show details

Worst dishwasher – This dishwasher doesn’t clean or dry our dishes. It also occasionally scratches our glassware which I don’t know how this happens but there is a circular scratch around the whole glass. Do not buy this product. Horrible customer service. Show details
