years out of a dishwasher. We favoured fisher and Paykel products as we hold their shares and we are New Zealanders but we won’t be buying another, they’re too unreliable

plates and medium sized pots and pans. Cleans well, even when mixing e.g. glasses with saucepans, although I do use the heavy setting most times. Flexible enough internal configuration, and not too fussy about stacking methods - things get clean even when not stacked perfectly. Mine's set just under the counter, and it's easy to stack without bending down to far. I scrape off left over food, but don't pre-rinse my dishes. No clogs yet. Fairly quiet to run. Cons: be careful when stacking that nothing pokes down beneath the stacking rack, as it's easy to block the spinning spray arms that way. That means watching where you put e.g. Tupperware lids, as they can move during washing. The soap tablet dispenser has been shaped to only take proprietary tablets and won't fit any others. You can put any tablet or pod in the cutlery basket instead though. Takes a long time to wash on the heavy setting, but that's the nature of it: with dishwashers you can either save water, or save time, but not both. F&P opted for water efficiency.

function stopped working totally. The machine began to give error codes as the impeller refused to stay on the shaft until I drilled a small hole through it and permanently glued it with a loctite product. Over time the machine began to be extremely noisy and eventually the pump failed totally. I would not recommend the product at all. Customer service simply did not want to know about it.

touch with. The website is pushing you to select a date and a time FORCED on you. Very inflexible. Three( 3) service guys came and each time they found it hard to recognize the problem. First one replaced the Touchpad on his second visit. Still was a failure. Second guy re adjusted. Third guy said it had not been set up/ programmed right. Now it is ok. But if your body touches the Touchpad by accident it gets activated. ( it is under the island bench and kitchen sink) Now l switch it off from the wall outlet each time I will NEVER touch anything FISHER AND PAYCLE.

After 11 years we finally unalived our F&P dual dishwasher. This is the 2nd time we've had the F&P dual draw and just love them, our first one had… Read more

to stay in the house when we sold it so we went straight out at got another one in 2014. It got a lot of us, i mean a LOT over the years and served us well. So naturally we bought our 3rd one to replace it. Super quiet, in fact so quiet i didn't know it was washing at first, nice new features with the light up button, i do like it being on the outside so i can see what's going on without opening the draw, we are very happy.

I loved this dishwasher when it worked. For 8 months I would have encouraged everyone to buy this machine, it washed beautifully (I do not prewash),… Read more

dried wonderfully (if you have the rinse aid in). Lovely features like the door automatically opening to assist drying and the delay. It can be connected which I never did but a nice feature. the adjustability of the wash settings and the ease of use are incredible. It fits so much, and the baskets are great, the adjustability of shelf heights and the ability to lay down the supports fitting EVERYTHING was so easy. Its reasonably quiet. For the price of the machine it has a lot of features. Unfortunately, we are not in a serviceable area so when it started faulting it could not be repaired and it will be refunded, and we will need to replace it, after waiting months to get the original machine I won't wait again. I am sad to see it go as I love this machine for the price I just wish it lasted longer. That said I live in NT with very hard water.

Old instructions included in product. You don't need an 'exit vent' for this model – Purchased from Bing Lee. Installation instructions came with the product stating an included 'exit vent' with associated screws needed to be… Read more

installed. Our product did not come with the vent or screws. Called Fisher and Paykel customer service who couldn't find the missing part to send out. Refused to supply a new product. By chance we found the instructions online were updated to what was sent with the product. A footnote for this specific model states the exit vent IS NOT required. The installation of the panel seems overly complicated to previous installations we have done. The actual product is a good size, so much so that the cutlery basket would be better off as a tray instead. Basic controls are easy, but if you want to use the custom settings then you have to use what looks like old technology and interpret codes. The product is average on noise and you won't get away with dry products without the rinse aid. From my experience, the majority of Fisher and Paykel products are ordered on consignment and you simply can't go back to your store to swap for a new one if there is an issue. They are not cheap products however generally last longer. Fisher and Paykel's customer service has long call waiting periods, poor understanding of their products, and are unwilling to correct their errors and assist customers. I would look elsewhere for a product due to this.

months for them to come and replace the doors. Then the bottom drawer won't drain, they have now come twice first time tried to say I had caused it by not rinsing my dishes properly, yet I has only used it twice! Still not fixed as say they are ordering another part. The dishes are wet despite being on heavy and extra dry, they said to wash on heavy to get it hot enough to dry. This is much worse than my old drawers that I had for 11 years and replaced when I renovated my kitchen. Wish I had read these reviews prior to upgrading. :(

Even on the highest and most intense setting, 50% of the cutlery in the cutlery tray comes out dirty. The other dishes are better but still hit and miss. Not terribly good at cleaning dirty dishes. Show details

Worst dishwasher – This dishwasher doesn’t clean or dry our dishes. It also occasionally scratches our glassware which I don’t know how this happens but there is a circular scratch around the whole glass. Do not buy this product. Horrible customer service. Show details
