controlling pump, but of course warranty has finished. Astral washed their hand of it and told Me to seek advice from local pool shop! Apparently it’s a known issue with these chlorinators if you have an astral variable speed pump which is the one the recommended to go with this set up. Been told a replacement will be about $900-$1000. System is only 5 yrs old. The module Is kept out of the sun and is looked after. I payed top $ for this system as I thought it would be the best. I have been advised no to put the pump On a separate external timer instead of plugging it into chlorinator. Very poor show especially when this is a know problem!!

The AstralPool HaloChlor suite and Halo PH Doser and HALO BT PH sensors in my opinion are not worth the money. I feel they are designed to fail. I… Read more

have had lots of trouble with the software, and they don't seem to support Android users well. There was an option that had auto timezone, and when enabled it offset the time from your location, for mine it was 14 hours difference. On manual time, it drifts. So bad if you wan timers set for your pool to use cheaper electricity. After spending a lot of time with the online service people who only use iOS to verify it worked, they finally said it will be fixed in an update (they removed the feature). Push notifications do not work either, so if you are considering this for the smarts, look elsewhere.

Finally, one of the PH sensor batteries has gone flat after 19 months. That is ok, however the Halo BT is glued shut so the user cannot replace, and only a 12 month warranty. The cheapest retailer has one for $479. There is also the ORP sensor which will have its bettery go soon for a similiar price.

I’ve had this chlorinator for a little over 2 years and the cell is already dead. Terrible quality, only lasts long enough for the warranty to run out. Show details

No lights – Ran the pump for about an hour with the cell off. Tried to switch it back on and now there's no lights. The display back light turns on bit only shows ------------------- on the screen. Anyone had this problem?
