Can't get support when it stopped working – This was fine- and working for about a year and a half. Then it developed an error that the troubleshooting guide said i need to contact IKEA for… Read more

support to resolve. So i did- 4 weeks ago- and was told someone would come out in 3 days. I've been waiting for 4 weeks and no one has contacted me at all about this. I've tried to call and use their online chatbot and been kept on hold literally now for SEVERAL hours over many days until i have to give up every time. I'm on hold again and i feel like pulling the thing out and going in personally and throwing at their store. Fair trading is my next stop.

Good simmer performance – I've recently compared this Ikea LAGAN and a Westinghouse WHIC02K Twin cooktop, and the Ikea is a far better cooktop. It has much smoother power… Read more

modulation and can maintain a gentle simmer, unlike the Westinghouse. See the attached video for an example. Two odd things to note: - the built-in LAGAN has identical electrical specifications to the portable TILLREDA, yet is over twice the price; seems Ikea is pricing according to market segments - though only rated to 2000W, the LAGAN has a 15A plug and thus requires a 15A power point; the TILLREDA has a regular 10A plug

Ikea service is appalling – Purchased in Nov 23, failed in late Mar 24, raised service request with Ikea 2nd April and took a full month for a service tech to arrive on 2nd May,… Read more

no spare parts or replacement on hand, just able to let me know the same thing I had told Ikea a month prior, its broken. The service agent received the job 48 hours prior to showing up so no issue there. Whether that was because I contacted Fair Trading the week before I cant be sure. For Ikea to take a month to get a job through the system for a cooktop is appalling. We were left using a portable camp stove - which Ikea knew. Do yourself a favor and pay a third of the price from a retailer that has a presence local to you.
