the problem sorted out with AEG and they're dismissive and refuse to do anything about it even though it is still under warranty. They have sent someome out 4 times and have said there is nothing more we can do just keep using descaler which is doing nothing.

will not spin. It will not shut off the water inlet. That was 2 weeks ago and we still have not heard back from AEG about it despite half a dozen phone calls by me and Harvey Norman through whom we bought it.
