clear - the Coolzy is not supposed to cool down a room. It is a spot cooler for one person. This is a positive because you can leave windows open (better for houses with no insulation), it only uses around 350W (cheap to run), you don't have to attach it to a window mount. I just point the long hose (which I bought separately) towards an open door or window. Because it is a spot cooler, I turn it off when not in front of it, so it is saves electricity not trying to keep a whole room cool in hot house. . I use it in my office blowing directly on me and it enables me to work whilst staying cool. I insert the clear flap and it directs the air up a bit more so I feel the cool air from my office chair. Also great for staying cool while relaxing. And it sits perfectly at the end of a bed. I repeat, this is a spot cooler, it must be directly straight on you from a close distance. It is a life saver on hot days when used correctly. The noise when on high and hose attached is similar to a 50cm fan. . I bought one for each of my family members (x3) and we all love them. They have literally changed our lives. Some of the bad reviews are from people expecting it to cool a room, which is not what it is designed for. Used as designed it is great. This is the best product I've purchased for a long time. In fact, my wife and I have one each blowing on us right now and we are comfortable on this hot day. See pictures attached.

Over priced glorified fan – The unit comes with basic pamphlets, you need to print the manuals yourself. There is no option to change the temperature or fan speed and the unit… Read more
isnt overly cool, its slighlty cooler than a normal fan. Theres no actual buttons for power just a display panel with lights - design is very cheap and basic. So you have to pull the plug out from the wall Everytime to turn it off. Aside from keeping insects out, it makes no sense to have the cover stand in midair while the unit is going as it partly blocks where the cool air is meant to come out. I didnt think my window was large but the panel for the tube connection is too short yet that part cost $99 extra in addition to the cost of the unit. It says you can use the unit without the connections but you certainly cant. It blows too much hot air from the back. Even with the window connection, with the panels being too short, hot air still blows into the room. The tube connecter is extremely rigid and hard to manoeuvre into place. It then also falls out of place unless its taped into position. The instructions are really vague and poor and it takes a bit of fiddling to get things to fit into place and with the thin pieces of plastic components you worry itll break. It just seems like they've manufactured this device as cheaply as possible and made it extremely hard to return. Ive had to write to them for parts that were missing and to get the manual and they responded fairly quickly. Its the same noise level as a fan which is the only good thing. It costs $100 to return the unit, excluding postage, so its not worth returning. I bought this because the reviews said it was energy efficient. But the cost of buying it for it to stand around not being used, was not worth the money at all! I would not recommend this to anyone.
