Best JBL Speakers
JBL Horizon
Garbage – Issues with power connector in first month, after half year lost part of characters. Unreadable. So sad what jbl becomed in decade or so. Show details
great sound from small speakers – The sound from these speakers is way better than you would expect from something that plugs into a PC. They sound better than the small Logitech 2:1… Read more
system with external power I used previously, as although there is less bass response the Pebbles have better balance overall. On the first few listens they had a slightly 'processed' sound, but I don't notice that anymore. They can not match a proper stereo system, but I often find myself using them at the computer because they are so convenient and the sound is more than good enough. I expect the only way to get better sound from something that sits on your desk is through good quality headphones.
The USB plug set up is great advantage. They switch on/off when you switch on/off your PC and no mucking around trying to connect (and reconnect) a bluetooth speaker. They also have a stereoscopic effect which most Bluetooth speakers seem to loose by putting bother speakers in the same body.
The only disadvantage is they are hard to buy. Mine came from a lucky 2nd hand sale, but could not find them locally for sale new. The cables could be a bit longer as well.
This Bluetooth speaker is awesome it has good sound and good lights Show details
Sounds Great – After doing plenty research to buy a speaker for my 50th last year, I concluded that I would buy the JLB Partybox 710. Let me tell you, for me, this… Read more
does not disappoint.
It sounds great, and then you throw in the amazing lights that come with this and you have a built-in party. The microphones easliy plug in to the back and you can have up to two mics.
This speaker at full blast will have the neighbours calling the police in no time.
I had an issue with the power cable, which was my fault. I chatted with support and they sent me a free replacement cable, great service.

better with Sony and Harmon Kardon Studio portables. A reasonable person would have expected better sound considering it is hard wired to power with no batteries. The biggest letdown is the 1990s era bluetooth codec being only AAC. The audio lag is horrendous at between 1/4 to 1/2 second when viewing any video and in this the third decade of the century is appalling. It looks like JBL just cheaped out with no AptX codec support which is available in most competitors product at a fifth of the price. I would not recommend this speaker to anyone and would opt for competitors medium to larger portables. I would sell it on ebay but as I have a concience would feel guilty lumbering anyone with this piece of dog poo.
