Abbott's Bakery Rye Sourdough

I have discovered sourdough rye bread it's my new favourite now .delicious. good thickness .flavour and smell .delicious toasted with pate .or salmon. Mayonnaise sandwich. I have tried other brands but keep coming back to Abbott's. I recommend you try it .do yourself a favour. Show details

Foul Odour – Love my sourdough and decided to try this for a change to my normal in house bakery sourdough. First up was the smell, a real put off, never had any sourdough here or in the USA that reeked like this does. Then of course it doesn't have the crust of normal sourdough or the taste. I really love this bread – I spent a few years sampling many different brands and types of bread until I happened upon Abbott's Rye Sourdough. Not only is it perhaps the cheapest sourdough on the market, but being made with rye it doesn't affect my digestion in a negative way like some wheat flour types do. thickness for sandwiches and add that fine hint of tang that only sourdough provides. Unfortunately, both Coles and Woolies only order in a few so to avoid missing out, give your store a call and have them hold one for you. That's what I do now. It truly is a great bread.
