Good tyre for the price – Purchased two of these tyres for my Peugeot 307 to replace well worn more expensive brand tyres. Then did an 1000 km round trip on highways and city roads. Nice wide profile (better that the previous) and fairly standard tread pattern gave good road holding in the dry. The tyres are quiet with none of the issues identified by others apparent.… Read more
Minimal wet use to date but no significant issues there yet either. So these seem to be great value for money and if no issues are identified, I will be replacing the other two tyres with the same.
overall use – ive had these on my xtrail 2013 model 22/65r17. found them to be not to bad on the wet tarmac or black top. prob found the length of time and wear would be a little bit of a concern but i dont expect at Tyre to be lasting a long time either depending on what your suv or 4wd mainly drives on. Just over 18 months and prob get no more then 3mths… Read more
estimation due to change. off road yes im impressed. would recommend if you dont go off road much on a budget
Pretty decent actually – Had these on a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta 1.4TSI. Dry grip is right up there with the well known brand tires. Wet grip is decent, never pushed the car to the limit in the wet so cannot comment on the tire's behavior when driving like a hoon when raining. Never had an issue when driving normally in the wet. Downsides to these tires are that they are… Read more
not particularly comfortable to ride on, tire noise is tolerable, but definitely noticeable and the tires don't soak up bumps that well. The car did not feel smooth even on brand new tires. You get what you pay for I guess.
For budget tires, these are safe enough in terms of grip. Comfort is sacrificed, but at least safety is there as long as you're driving to the conditions.
Really poor wet grip! – Fine in the dry. Replacing them due to the very poor wet weather road holding. Appear to be lasting ok, but only had the vehicle for a bit over a month.
Great everyday tyre with excellent dry grip – Used these tyres hard for 30k kms. In the dry through twisty roads they are fantastic. With very progressive loss of traction at the limit, which makes for safe driving. In the wet they are as good as your average tyre which is easily confused as being bad when compared to their dry grip levels. I never had any issues and only became an issue… Read more
when driving recklessly.
My car is a family wagon with a great amount of modifications which makes it faster than your average v8 so this review is based off performance driving (street, drag &a track).
For the price, I will be buying another set.
Poor tyre design. DONT BUY!! – Do not buy these tyres, they are crap and should NOT be on the market, poor grip in wet weather, noisy too, NOT RECOMMENDED TO ANYONE ON ANY CAR YOU DRIVE!!
these tyres could kill me !!! – I live in the gold coast I bought these tyres April 2016 in June 2017 I start feeling a bumpy sound on the tyres I though was a stone O something stick to the tyre I went to a tyre shop they could not find anything, very frustrated in November went again to service my car and I told them to check the bearings the Axel the tyres the rim because I… Read more
have a bumpy noise coming from the front of the tyre they Confirm the bumpy feeling and noise but they couldn't find anything but they advice to claim warranty on the tyres now is January went for a road trip to Byron bay set the pressure to the advice psi and leave on my way back the tyre pressure monitor indicates flat tyre stop in a service station put some air they were 27 psi both front tyres so I though a puncture so I put some fix a tyre foam and hit the highway after 45 minutes or so tyre pressure monitor lights up again, anyway I made it to Gold Coast, I went to another tyre shop to fix my puncture and found that the 14.000 km tyres are splitting in the inside wall not safe and I could have kill myself in the highway now today 18-01-18 I went to claim warranty and I've been ask after the warranty comes back to rotate the tyres every 5.000 km at 72 dollars service and a life span of 40.000 km = 8 rotations, one every 6 months and a total $576 according to them because the profile 30 of my tyres require this maintenance .... I don't see any low profile tyre owner doing these ridiculous maintenance. not happy !!! please Achilles feel free to contact me !!!!
Achilles 2233 Small-Medium Car Tyres – My Wife & I own a 2011 Mazda 3. The two front drive tyres were worn out @ approx 50,000km, they were Dunlop Sport SP Sport "Not Impressed with them" Size: 215/45/17. I wanted a Reasonable Tyre with out inflated price. Which these fit!! So far put approx 2000km on them. Wet Traction- Good, Handles Corners & Roundabouts without squirming to… Read more
much. Aqua Planing, no issues. Will brake traction at take off 1st gear, But no worse than Dunlop SP Sport.
Road Noise- is there, but quieter than SP's you can actually hear the SP's droning @ rear.
Dry traction- excellent. Seem like a fairly stiff sidewall under dry corning, but not as Stiff as Bridgestone Potenza.
Overall I highly Recommend Achilles 2233 Tyres for your Car. Quality @ A Smart Price. How many kms they last?? Not sure but worth considering.
