Quiet, Smooth, Great Drive feel and Long Lasting – Super Quiet, Smooth and long lasting. I immediately noticed the difference as I drove out of the shop. I owned these before and will buy them again & again & again. Show details
100,000 km and still good – Six years ago we installed our first set of Turanza Serenity Plus tyres on our trusty little Toyota Echo. They came with a 50,000 km warranty. We've recently replaced them, with four of the same, after 100,430 km! All tyres were evenly worn and still had roadworthy tread, as confirmed by a Bridgestone specialist who inspected them, with a… Read more
likely 5 to 10k of legal rubber remaining. However, with an extensive road trip pending, it was an appropriate time to change them. Because of their condition we've retained two for use as spares ... See the photo's and judge for yourself.
I trust the Bridgestone brand! Over the years we've had several sets. All exceeded 60k, but the Turanzas have certainly proven the best and provided outstanding value for money ... I could not have asked for better! They've carried my wife and I extensively throughout Australia, including over some punishing outback roads, sealed and unsealed, all without a hitch! We've had one puncture in six years and no other issues.
At the time of installation I was confident these tyres would exceed their warranty, expecting them to travel 80k or more, but to reach 100 was all bonus.
So, why have they done so well?
I see three reasons:
Firstly, being a quality product to start with ... One the manufacturer is willing to apply a warranty to.
Secondly, frequent self checking and maintenance of tyre pressures ... Easy to do.
And thirdly (and most importantly), regular tyre servicing by qualified and trusted technicians.
Throughout their six years these tyres have been rotated, balanced and aligned six times (roughly every 20k) by the same proficient team who installed them, in this case being at Bridgestone Select, West Perth, managed by Rob, a "tyre guru" ... Therein lies the main reason they've done so well!
Yes, tyre servicing adds to one's overall expenditure but is worth every dollar, not simply in preserving the life of tyres, but in detecting mechanical wear too, before it becomes an issue. Just think about it ... The wheels, steering and suspension of a vehicle are subject to more road punishment than any other component ... Why would one not want to maintain them?

Best Tyre for Long distance running – I purchased 4 tyres from a Bridgestone Select dealer on a buy 3 tyres and get a 4th free, with a special 60,000km/36 month warrantee whatever comes first. If a tyre suffers any damage you would get a pro rata cost rebate based on how many kms you have done or at what point of the 36 month warrantee the tyres were at. I had 2 tyres damaged by a… Read more
pothole in the 1st- 4 months of the warrantee (see photo), and it was replaced at a prorate cost of $5.59 each. You just have to take the vehicle for a free inspection every 10,000 kms where they rotate the tyres to maintain even wear. I do 30,000 kms per year. The warrantee is over and the tyres have done 68,000 kms and still good for about another 10,000kms I am told. Good wet weather handling during it's life. If you are doing frequent long distance running, I would recommend this tyre.
Fantastic improvement, comfort, handling. Great 4 for 3 deal – Mazda 6 GJ - 225/55R17. Big improvement on handling. Very quite and with the added comfort as it rolls over these crappy Brisbane roads. Best was the price from 'BridgeStone Select' with great 4 for 3 deal and wheel alignment. They are new so time will tell on durability and grip but so far very very good. So good I also put 4 new tyres on my… Read more
kids Mazda 3 BK (205/55R16) and the Mazda 3 BL (195/65R15). The ride is transformed in the BK. The kids have noticed the added comfort, and quiet, and handling. My only gripe is the tyre pressures were at 40psi resulting in an initial harsh ride in all cars. Lowered pressures to 36psi and now much much better ride (just me probably). Anyway .... do yourself a favor and try these Serenity Plus's. Don't do cheap as you get what you pay for.
Perfect for my Corolla hatch 2014 – First 100 km feel not special. I think it need time to wear out the protective coating. After 100 km. I can feel the difference. Actually very different. First 2 days driving in dry road. Handling feel good. Enough feedback from the tyres. Then follow by 2 days of rain. It feel good grip in wet. Feel safe specially driving on freeway when it was… Read more
raining very hard and windy. This new set of tyres give me more confidence on everyday driving. Less noise compare to the old tyres my car fitted before. It’s a good set of tyres for my Corolla hatch 2014 auto. Service at Bridgestone select also very good.
I’ll give it 9/10.

Glide serenely – For my second trye review, i comment on the bridgestone turanza serenity plus; very aptly named. My second car, also a C class, started the wobbles literally up and down while in slow traffic developing into harsh vibration at speed. The tyres seemingly looking ok until i discovered the rears were well down to the bars which caused the vibration… Read more
and extra cabin noise when the rest of the tread is worn away. Back to Donnellans for the second time in the month. Again, they were excellent in their dealings and sensitive to my dread of forking out for the second time in a month, facing the fact I needed two new on the back and a badly worn outer shoulder on the front passenger side, left no choice but to go four new tyres and the wheel alignment. The 'bridgies' are a hefty price too, but soon forgotten. I can report that my Elegance has never travelled so smoothly since I've owned it after 9 years. Combined with its recent servicing and engine mounts in particular, these tyres are worth every penny if you are looking for extra joy in a luxury car. They bought back to the driving experience of this car what unwittingly seemed to have gone missing over the proceeding years. Control at the wheel is their standout feature apart from almost zero road noise, supple comfort, sure footedness and silky smooth highway ride. The Melba highway to Yea is full of road repairs and potholes at present (Jan 23) and these tyres made the journey fun, safe and smooth. I made sure Donnellans lowered the pressures to 32 which helps enormously I discovered and I'm happy to pay for the so-called shorter life span given I only travel about 8Ks a year.
Ashamed about the tyre failure otherwise an excellent tyre! – I owned these tyres for only 1.5 years and 30,000kms before one of them had a pin stick in it and failed during highway. But here me out, why I gave it 5 stars: - great traction in the wet - strong and durable. I drive them mostly in the highway but I also drove them in the Australian unsealed gravel tracks for at least 150km driving in an eroded… Read more
road full of massive potholes, rocks, undulations etc. They still held pressure after the trip and had not grip problems in the heavy rain in muddy ground. Ride was stabled and I felt confident, bumpiness not that great but that could be also factored by my old suspension and car (2012 Subaru XV Crosstrek). - On the high way and normal driving the tyres feel extremely planted. The car feels grounded and the vibration from the road gets absorbed very well. Fairly quite compared to the current tyres I got on (Viking tyres). - The tread wear was amazing! Even after those 30,000kms the tyres still had plenty left almost felt like knew, grip was still top notch and the rubber still felt very grippy to the touch. - When the tyre failed (rear left) I couldn't notice it just heard a low rumbling sound. As I kept driving within 30 seconds I felt I was veering to the left very subtly. The noise was increasing. So I stopped it in the highway and found that the whole tyre failed and the rim was laying on flat rubber. After replacing it I found a large pinhole probably 5mm wide and also a large tear on the inner side rim wall that was at least 100mm long. Nevertheless I was able to safely maneuvre the car even with such a horrific looking failure. Ashamed about the tyre failure otherwise an excellent tyre!
Disappointing compared to much less expensive tyres – I really wanted to like these since they do very well what they promise on the tin - reduce road noise. The difference versus the original stock tyres in terms of road noise was quite noticeable. However in hindsight, many competitors are now introducing noise reduction features into their own tyres and the brand differences in this respect are no… Read more
longer as stark as they might have been a few years ago.
But where these tyres really fell down for me is in the harsh ride quality as well as the propensity to induce quite noticeable (rear end) bump steer on my (admittedly bread and butter) torsion beam rear-ended car. Bear in mind however that a very large number of cars these days sport this type of inexpensive rear end and it is only the more premium or sports oriented models that have independent and / or more sophisticated suspensions. Yet the much less expensive tyres I now have show no sign at all of producing this handling issue on my car - it is now perfectly neutral once again. But with the Serenity plus, it did not even matter if I reduced rear tyre pressures in order to try to increase rear end grip - the tyres still produced that bump steer on higher speed roads with imperfect surfaces even at 3 psi below placard (I was not prepared to go any lower than that and other pressures including at placard or higher made no difference either).
Perhaps this relates also to the ride being quite uncomfortable regardless of tyre pressure (though I stuck mainly to the placard recommendations). These tyres felt very "wooden" especially once the tyres were around a year old - which in turn might go some way to explaining why they made the rear feel less secure with so much less weight over the tyres being a front wheel drive car.
Bottom line is after 12 months I had had enough of them - I had come to dread driving due to the ride quality. My new tyres are no louder than these were, do not induce any handling issues at normal road speeds and the ride quality is back to its organic self. A big disappointment given the brand pedigree and premium price.

Phenomenonal tyres the Serenity Plus'. Did 70,000km of thrashing them in a FWD V6 Sedan. Spun wheels regularly, did burnouts on private property, used enthusiastically around corners etc. The literal abuse of these tyres and kms I got out of them has me putting another set of 4 on today. I rotated myself and did 1 wheel alignment in their life. I… Read more
would have gotten 80,000km + had I done 2 wheel alignments. Wet grip has been great until end of life. Generally handled very well in the dry and on gravel roads.
Quiet, comfortable and great grip – Our family have owned several cars over the years and Bridgestone is the only tyre brand that we have put on our cars. We have never had any issues with their Turanza tyres. They are quiet on the road, smooth and comfortable when traveling and provide a great grip on the road surface. I always feel safe with the Bridgestone tyres and trust this… Read more
brand. We currently have the Turanza Serenity Plus on the car at the moment and they have been my favourite in their range. They haven't done many kms yet but by all reports, they are very durable with a long range.
We got our Turanzas fitted at our local Bridgestone select dealer who were fantastic to deal with. Our appointment was first thing in the morning. They took the car straight away and tyres were fitted within the hour. Payment was made when the car was almost ready so when the car came out of the garage we were good to go. Staff were very friendly and I overheard a staff member call up a customer to tell them they did not need something that the customer had paid to get done (it was inspected and deemed roadworthy). I thought that was very honest of them, as most dealers will try and sell the customer more than what they have asked for.
Solid – Used for 3000km, on country roads, gravel up to ski fields. Dry (mainly), wet (often), very wet (occasionally), snow (very occasionally). Tyres are quiet and behave well in all conditions. Over New Zealand winter passes and ski fields with good all round grip and comfort. Bit earlier to say with wear. Show details
Bridgestone Tyres – Bought this set of Bridgestone tyres from the Glen Waverley Select store n within 23000km (6.5mths) the front 2 tyres is unroadworthy. The Select store would not cover this “wear for life guarantee or 50000km” cos I didn’t take it for rotation intervals. This is disappointing cos this didn’t happen to my other vehicle which is a wagon. I did… Read more
mention that these tyres could be reject and they still wanted me to buy n pay for another set of tyres. I would not buy these tyres again and supporting this Bridgestone Select store again.

Good wear life, terrible wet weather performance! – I had the Bridgestone Turanza Serenity+ replaced my old Winrun R330 on my drive axel (Mazda 3) two years ago, done 18k kms and still have 5.6mm tread. Dry grip is average with low rolling noise HOWEVER the wet weather grip is horrendous, going around a roundabout with 35km/h or above you will understeer when exiting. I have now switched back to… Read more
the Winrun R330, don't make the same mistake as me putting my trust on the "big" name brands like Bridgestone, at least stay away from Turanza Serenity+.
Great tyre – Had bridgestone turanza tyres. fitted in 2018. Second tyre rotation today. Already done. 48 thousand klms guaranteed 50 thousand klms....... tyre fitter said get another 30 thousand easy one puncture in 5 yrs now 2023. Great all round tyre quiet easy handling good ride. Tyrereviews.com gave it 2 stars for a reason – It’s a budget Bridgestone honestly, wet grip is horrible with plenty of thread-life left, dry grip is average, road noise is low (only plus point) I would stay away if you are concerned about your safety
Perfect for Mid Range cars – I purchased these tyres about 5 years ago after a range of tyres. These have lasted 105,000km and have been driven across Australia on highways (eg from Adelaide to Perth) and driving extensively through the Adelaide Hills, and city driving. The handling has been great on bitumised surfaces in the extreme heat and on very wet Hills where leaf… Read more
litter, mud, stones and branches have affected the road. They have been quieter than my other tyres and the grip is great for the life of the tyres. While other cars squealled as they came into corners, my car remained silent. The fuel economy has been exceptional as I have averaged <7L/100km. Car: CJ Mitsubishi Lancer Sedan.
Fantastic stopping in the wet, 20% more tread so lasts well too – We have a Subaru Outback and tow a camper trailer so really keen to have good performance tyers especially braking in the wet. This tyre has done a great job of meeting this need and also lasting well (we got 5 years). Just now we had a little slip in the wet on bitumen and decided it is time to replace them. Show details
Very durable and confident tyre – I left the faith of fitting a good set of Tyres to my wife’s Subaru levorg to Bridgestone Coomera approx September 2020, as we had just bought the car, it past roadworthy but the Tyres were worn. So with no 2nd guessing just get new Tyres. My wife does drive very aggressively at times and we do carry a bit of weight After the 2nd Tyre rotation in… Read more
12months They still look near new with very little to no wear after 26,000ks Very confident in all conditions so far. No I wouldn’t use them as a racing Tyre but they are not designed for that. I’m that confident in them I put a set on my daughters car as a Xmas present. Excellent service from Bridgestone These Tyres are a great value, safe durable Tyre even for the fussiest of drivers.
Good deal buy 3 get 1 free – Upgraded to them after purchasing Good ride. Good on wet and dry roads. Will keep updating so far so good. Thanks to Revesby Bridgestone. $570 for 4 tyres and a alignment. Looking forward to them. Show details
Absolute Personal First Choice for Bridgestone Serenity Plus Tyres – Have been long time user of Serenity Plus on three different vehicles,6cyl,4 cyl and SUV. Always above 50k km achieved, great traction, quiet and great value for money. Complete satisfaction Show details
Not so good – Came on brand new Skoda Karoq (NZ) and would never have again. Grip is the biggest issue especially in the wet when on a slight slope, even when easing the accelerator on. The vehicle wants to wheelspin anyway, especially if going for a faster take-off but these tyres wheelspin both in the dry and wet (front wheel drive) so reduce confidence in… Read more

Only lasted 17,000km on front tires – Came as standard fitment on brand new BMW X1 in 2018. Took car in for service today and dealer says only 1.5mm tread remaining on front and 3.5mm on rear. Car has always been serviced with dealer every 6 months and driven gently (school run mainly). So really surprised wear was so fast as always maintained correct tyre pressures and treated car… Read more
with care. Mostly inner city driving in Sydney. New replacements seem to be upwards of $300 per tyre so expected better durability.
What an improvement they've made to the car – We've just upgraded the misses car to these from a lower end tyre that were installed on the car by previous owner. The improvement is hard to believe. My wife, who normally couldn't care less about such topics has praised them without prompt. Sometimes, you get what you pay for. While their life and durability will take more time to assess, I… Read more
can say that handling, ride, noise and overall feel of the car has been positively transformed. Compliments the suspension very nicely. I have little concern over their wet performance either, if other reviews keep true.
I honestly had never liked driving this car, a 2013 Impreza, until this week when the tyres got swapped to Serenitys. We live in Tasmania with rough and twisty roads. Even with alignment well set, the previous tyres made the car a bit of a chore to drive. I can honestly say it is a pleasure to pilot now and I wish we'd put the tyres on when we first bought the car.
Good improvement+value for money – Excellent stability and traction on dry and wet. Nice noise reduction.Very sure in cornering. Review is after 1000 km. No rewards offered by Bridgestone, it was 3+1 deal. Will buy again. Show details
I needed a quiet tyre – Great grip in all conditions. I never knew there was a “quiet tyre” but you can notice the difference. Very happy. Would highly recommend to anyone, even all the disbelievers. Show details
Not very serene – There is no doubt these tyres last a long time. I bought a set at 34,000kms and just replaced them at 98,000kms. Are they serene? Nope. I guess given that they are a touring tyre, I don't think they are well suited to a lighter hatchback, as they are too hard and brittle on day to day grinding drives. They may be better suited to a larger… Read more
heavier car but for me, not again. I have replaced them with another Bridgestone tyre model and the difference is huge - but maybe I won't get the same kms out of these. I'm fine with that.
Value for money Tyre – Just replaced my Bridgestone Serenity Plus after 60k and there was probably another 5-10k of tread left.A great tyre with a quite, comfortable ride. Felt very assured in the wet and dry. Bridgestone has a 4 for the price of 3 deal so I jumped at the chance to get this great tyre again. 2015 Skoda Scout Show details
Very good choice for coarse chip bitumen – One of the things that annoyed me when retiring to Victoria is the very extensive network of coarse chip bitumen roads. They are pretty much everywhere in the State from local streets right through to the major 110 kmh freeways and everything in between. We can't all afford a large Lexus or other luxury car so we have to drive what we have. When I… Read more
needed new tyres for my bread and butter Kia I went for these Serenity tyres since I was after a tyre that might make driving on these sorts of roads a little less fatiguing. Well, having had them fitted at the local Bridgestone dealer, I am impressed with these tyres. Unlike another premium brand I had on a previous car that was touted to improve ride and noise but compromised the steering feel noticeably, these Serenity tyres do what the other brand did but have not compromised the vehicle in any other department.
But don't expect a miracle. According to my portable SPL meter, there was only a 3 dB reduction in noise levels at 110 kmh over the stock Nexus tyres. But it is not so much the slightly reduced noise as it is that the annoying resonances are noticeably reduced and the character of the noise is easier to tolerate.
Before these tyres I was tempted at times to wear attenuating ear plugs on these sorts of roads but didn't for safety concerns. But now with these Bridgestones, I have no desire or need to even think about them and on a typical 3 hour return trip my ears are fresh and I have no fatigue.
Just bear in mind these are not some sort of miracle cure or a substitute for owning a luxury car (not that most people would be that naive). But if you do need (or are close to needing) new tyres on your existing car and care about refinement but do not wish to compromise in other aspects of vehicle behaviour, these are definitely worth a try.
Great tyre – Just put bridgestone turanza serenity plus yesterday with promotion but 3 get 4th free at bridgestone select. The staff very professional and helpful. I brough tyres and wheel alignment at the same time. Bridgestone will e mail you to get tyre service for free every 6 months with tyre rotation. That make it worth to buy new tyre from bridgestone.… Read more
I got 2 mind with Michelin primacy 4 from costco or this tyre due to bridgestone got this promotion i can save 100$ for this time. The car fell very different from my old tyre Dunlop Lm704. Smoother, more comfortable and quite. The sharp turning fell grip and confident. I didn't use in winter yet so can't tell but this time very satisfied. The tyre come with 50,000 km wear life warranty so no problems with durable and they will have a look and rotation very 6 mouth anyway. I am very happy with this tyre.
Very happy so far – Swapped Potenza's on my Peugeot 3008 for these to achieve a quieter less harsh ride. LOVE 'EM!! The Potenza's were excellent road holding but transmitted too much road noise for my diminshed hearing So far I find road holding superb, a softer much quieter ride. It remains to be seen as to the longevity with the softer compound but..... Show details
Overpriced, underperforming and suffers from dry rot – I ran these tyres for so long on both our cars, not knowing any better and I'm so disappointed. (check my other review for a much better tyre) Bridgestone is the largest tyre manufacturer in the world and this Turanza is one of their more premium lines, Ecopia being the eco fuel saving line (which I also ran one time and will also review). there are some pros I guess, the compound is very hard wearing and sidewalls are rigid. Wet weather performance is acceptable in my view indicating tread pattern is efficient enough with water evacuation.
Now for the cons, this tyre is quite high price and within as little as 4 years you can expect to see dry rot (see photo). I experienced this over several sets. On top of that the ride is horrible, as the compound gets harder and stiffer over time, though even brand new it's not all that great. Road noise over coarse regional highways is just droning and these tyres make a firm suspension setup become jarring over speed humps and road imperfections. Feedback through the steering becomes vague with these tyres, even brand new, although the car is still planted ok on road owing to the decent width of the tyre. The tyres don't inspire confidence to the driver for you to push them harder.
Overall, I have run some cheaper Chinese brand tyres in the past (Federal, I think) and these are comparable in every way to those. My advice is save your money, get Chinese if you must or better yet buy a tyre from a different premium manufacturer.
