Scam , lack product support, poor workmanship – Not worth the money, took 5 days to get a reply from dealer. Advanced protection does not answer emails. waste of money, ridiculous claim process that makes it impossible for you to claim. They take your money and don’t bother helping you when their product doesn’t do the job it’s meant to. Save your money.

Piece of crap!!! – It does nothing...just flashes pretty lights. I had a small amount of surface rust due to a scratch. These companies should be held accountable for selling dodgy products with nonsense claims of what they do. Now the lights don't even light up.. checked the fuse and made sure power was getting to the unit. Dead...not even good for a boat anchor. What a load of Rubbish – This product is a total waste of time and money. It does not protect your car from Rust. Car had Rust within Six Months of purchase (New Car). signed off on an inspection that never happened. If the Green light is Flashing, Rust should not happen and any Inspection will not stop the Rust from Starting just by looking at it. System does not work. What a load of Rubbish. Should not be allowed to sell this product.

WORTH THE MONEY!!! – I have had the protection pack on my last two cars and it has been fantastic. Car always looks clean and i know my car will always be protected from the elements. I would highly recommend on your new car!!

Great product!!! – I have had this on my last 2 cars Hilux and FJ cruiser that are up the beach all the time no rust a all i wouldn't buy a 4x4 without it!

Seems to work – Bought a second hand Hilux with a lot of kms on the clock. Dealer put one of these electronic systems on it. Always stored outside in a sea side town. barrier on it. Read the expert US Gov opinion, and Did NOT put the ERP in. Stored in the same way. After 5 months, it has just come back from the panel beater after getting some rust cut out under warrenty. I will put in stainless bolts in where I can get to it. Family member had an old Holden for 20 years. It had a passive block in the engine bay. Stored outside in the same climate. No rust, minimal corrosion.

So. To prevent further damage to my New Landcruiser, I will put on an ERP system. Sure, if I don't use it for 4 months the battery will go flat. Sure, it still doesn't stop all corrosion, but based on experience, $600 to $700 is cheap.

Do not waste your time or money !!!!! – These guys are a waste of my time and money and would never get anything from them. Their products are dodgy and they dont honour their supposed lifetime warranty. It is going to cost more to fix then what it cost to put on. You are a pathetic company and you shouldn't be allowed to rip anyone else off!!!!

Scam Scam Scam – What a joke of a company first of all the the products don’t work and second of all you wasted my time reviewing my claim to then reject it!! Don’t waste your money!! And worst customer service..

They do not fix your car if you get rust – I agree with Eddy...these guys are scammers. There is NO lifetime warranty unless you take it to their own applicator to check at every checkpoint as per the paperwork. I was never told this and always had my mechanic check. Brand new car, rust protection always on...yet we got some rust. They refused to fix it. Absolute scammers!!!! I would not recommend paying for this product at all.

Don't waist your money – Biggest scam ever, don't waist your money. They try and find every excuse to not repair the stains on your car. I don't think this product even works. I brought a brand new car, clean it most weeks and there are bird dropping stains all over. Save your money.

Works a treat! – I've had this product for the last 4 years and have not been disappointed! I bought it on my dark grey subaru and to this day I still notice that the exterior is glossy and very easy to clean. I've never had to wax or polish either! The interior protection made it so easy to clean up stains left by my 2 young children, my dog and my wifes makeup stains!

Don't live up to their warranty – Purchased a brand new red car from a dealership where advanced protection is also located. The salesman insisted that I get the paint protection as red paint fades quicker then any other colour. told that they would get it sorted. They took photos and paperwork was filled out. A few months went by the paint got worse and I hadn't heard anything back so I called again and they said that they never received my warranty claim. So they had to fill everything out again and send it off. Another month went by and no phone call or anything- I received a letter in the mail saying my claim was denied as their paint protection doesn't cover this sort of damage ( so I'm really not sure what it does cover ). I was very upset as I had paid thousands for this product and what was predicated to happen to my car after years and years if I didn't have advanced protection happened not even 3 and a half years later. What made it worse was they said maybe the dealership would do it through warranty but because the protection people took too long in getting back to me my warranty had run out and it was past their good will warranty too which would of only last 3 1/2 years. I will never pay for this service again as it cost a fortune and then I had to pay to get my whole car sprayed again at not even 4 years old!

Excellent product ... protects my car 100 % love the product – I live very close to the sea side. I park outside with no other protection against the salt air. My car is nearly eight years old... and have never had any rust

Does it work - a different view point – This unit is one offered by Mitsubishi as part of the advanced protection package, when purchasing a new vehicle. I have no intention of discussing the scientific process, as to how or if, the product works as a rust preventative. This is my experience after 2 years of the product being installed.

The unit was installed by a certified installer.

It has been checked as per the schedule on the warranty form, each time the vehicle has been serviced.

The vehicle is used for towing a caravan, and is stored under cover when not in use.

The problem surfaced when the vehicle was in storage for 4 weeks without use.

It came time to start the vehicle to go away. The battery was drained to a stage that it would not start the car. The 9 milliamps that it is supposed to draw had depleted the battery to such an extent that the vehicle could not be started.

The battery was checked and found to be in good condition when recharged. The electronics in the car had to be reinitialised e.g. the media/audio equipment.

This has happened twice now and will be taken up as a problem at the next service time.

My immediate thought then is this - when the battery is flat what electronic rust prevention is taking place?

There is no power - consequently their is no electronic pulse or what ever being generated to protect the vehicle.

I am no scientist but I am sure that you can realise quickly that the unit then doesn't work in that situation.

You can then make up your mind as to the use of an electronic rust prevention system. For our situation it does not appear to be a good investment. I am not saying buy it or not, just be aware that this is what has happened in our situation.
