I bought it home charged it over night tried to start my motorbike the next morning and it wouldn't wind it over enough to start I had to go and get my old one from the car to start the bike. Follow up customer service is nasty asking for a video of… Read more
me trying to jump start my bike the first time i used their jump pack, as if people video using it just incase it is cr#p. Then you tell them I don't have a video and they dismiss you by saying it again. Basically i'm going to need a video.
Follow-up · Yes i charged it again still cr#p I had to push my 300kg bike to get it near power to put a battery charger on it the bike has been fine since the battery is only just over a year old. It is a 450cca. And again who takes a video of starting any vehicle with a brand new jumper pack i'm not an influencer.
Below par product – Bought this unit about 2 years ago, and have always kept it charged every 3 month. Went to use it for the first time on a bmw 730d, and nothing. Smoke started coming from the unit. Disappointing and a waste of $100 Show details

Little beastie, highly recommend this item… – Updated: March 25 God I love this thing. My thing is flat batteries. So we brought a new ski boat, took her for her maiden voyage. Hubby threw this in to take for the weekend ‘just in case’, we needed the just in case. This jump started a ski boat with a 350 Chev motor (if that helps car enthusiasts), we did have to keep it running and run back… Read more · 2
up and chuck this on the charger, we would only get one jump out of it. BUT, it saved our weekend away.
Yesterday 28/03/25 my ride on mower wouldn’t start, I was worried thinking it would be something else and not the battery, get her out to jump the mower. Bang off she goes, only down 2%
Original review: So I left the lights on for my LDV G10 at home and come back out some time later (maybe 3 days lol) and went to start the van and it wouldn’t start. My jumper leads wouldn’t even start the van, I brought this online for $69 plus delivery (they had a sale and I got 30% off) and it turned up next day.
* Turned on. * Plugged into the battery. * Walked around to the drivers side van, turned the ignition on and the van started.
Worth noting as soon as the van turned on, little beastie as she is now affectionately known as turned off; so we can assume to save battery life.
It says it will work on a V8. I checked how much battery life remained on the jump pack and it was only down 1%, so 99%
Would highly recommended this product.
It comes with a charger for the cigarette lighter of the car and also an adapter if 4 ends for phones and other devices
Perfect, safe for the young girls too – We have bought approximately 4 sets so far. They have started 4x4’s, phones, Trucks. We r earthmovers they have also started LightTowers BUT the real test, Our Striker 360 Mobile Impactor Crusher. I Kid U Not. Show details · 1
Unreliable – Purchased 12mths ago. NEVER used to jump start a car, only used for phones on the rare occasion. Charged regularly & kept secured in the car. Bought as a support unit in emergency/worse case scenario. After small use, I charged it, unplugged it & went to turn it on...nothing!. Blue light 1 & 3 came on after holding the start button for 10 seconds,… Read more
then went off. (See photo). Haven't been able to even turn it on since. Hardly used & well cared for. I rightfully expected more. Regular user of Kings equipment but this product needs to do a quality review/update of this product & not just apologise for its failures. It appears from reviews, if you a lucky enough to get a good unit, they are quite good, but if not...you'll be looking for a hill to push your car down for a roll start. Lottery?

Don’t waste your money – The charger is rubbish, just out of warranty. Used a handful of times. Don’t waste your money. I would normally recommend Kings products, but not in this case. Show details

A great item to have on standby – I purchased a kings jump starter about 7 years ago primarily for a JetSki , but I’ve used it only on a diesel troopcarrier about 8 times so far ! I’m happy with it , I’ve left it in the vehicle for months on end and hasn’t lost any charge I would definitely recommend. Show details · 1
Perfect for a 4 cyclinder – Kia Magentis, Battery Indicator says all is excellent, but does not hold any amp-hours. 10 months old battery. Stops turning over, 1000a Jump starter starts it in seconds while only using up to 2% of its power storage. Bloody little ripper at a great price... Show details · 1
Works well – Works well jump starts my car even with no battery in it. I use it every day as a power bank and it does everything its supposed to. It barely uses any power when jumpstarting I used it 10 times in one charge and it worked perfect. Only issue is that it's power gauge does not work well under 40%. It goes from 40% to 1% in only a couple minutes. Show details · 1

Can't rely on it - Very short shelf life – Unfortunately, I have to agree with Matthew S, Aaron, Andrew and others. I bought my A38 a few years ago, and I needed it within the first 6 months. It started my '93 Toyota Landcuiser 6cyl 4.2 Petrol GXL no problems. Bewdy. Or so I thought... Charged it, and put it away for next time. I needed it again last month - Jan '25 - to start the… Read more
same car. Topped up the charge - checked it. 100%. Ok... Hooked it up to the Cruiser, turned the key. CLICK. Nada. Nothing. Went back under the bonnet. Checked the LCD. 0%. What? Ok... charged it back up, checked. 100%. Tried to jump start again. CLICK. 0%. So I'm guessing the internal LiPo's are dead. From what I've been reading, there's no point in trying to claim for a replacement, as it would be well out of warranty by now.
Pretty disappointed - but at least I got one good start out of it... unlike plenty of others. I convinced my Partner to buy one too - I'd wager that that one's dead as a doornail now too.
I've bought a few things from Kings over the years. And I must say I'm not overly impressed - the 6mx3m outdoor 'Pergola' canopy ripped during a nasty storm. Replacement canopies do not exist. The frame is pretty sturdy, but useless without a canopy.
I probably won't be buying anything further from Kings - or recommending them to anyone in the future.
Sorry, but just not good enough.

Bad service won't buy anything else – I bought a kings 1000a jump starter in 2022, even though I have never used it and it was at 80% charge, I went to go and use it in Jan 2025 to start a flat battery on my 4wd, and it wouldn't start it. Useless, the one time I was in trouble and needed it and there I was stranded. When I got back to Adelaide I rang kings warranty service, they were… Read more
a bit abrupt and didn't really care. Once they realised it was out of warranty, he might of well said too bad so sad, that's your problem. As this is a known fault they should of offered me something, a least a credit. Really bad service, I won't buy anything else from kings now that's it.
Kings have now wiped their hands of it, closing my subscription now. See ya kings.

Not fit for purpose – Totally useless. Purchased this in October 2024 and went to jump start my landrover which was sitting for around 2 months. Battery was still turning motor slowly just not enough to start. Went to use the jump starter and it made zero difference. Used old jumper leads and car fired straight up. The jump starter was 100% charged but failed to do its job and only around 4 months old. Don't waste your money.

Disappointing – I purchased my unit to be kept on my boat for safety of mind. Being kilometers offshore we need equipment that will do the job when we need it. Purchasing substandard equipment is not my norm and I thought King's would only sell quality. Ensuring my equipment is well maintained is a must and this ethic has fortunately meant I had no real use for… Read more
this jump starter that is clearly unfit for purpose. The sales person was informed of the intended use on the boat where faulty equipment can be the difference between life and death but there was nothing but high recommendation of the product from them. There was NO instruction manual or warranty information with the unit and I was told at the time of purchase that they no longer include an instruction manual as they are now online. To my surprise I have read other reviews which refer to their instruction manual!! Too many people complaining about the same thing proves there is a serious issue with quality and performance.
I didn't have cause to use it AT ALL but heard a beeping sound today and decided it must need to be charged. Why was it beeping if it is supposed to automatically turn off after a short time of non use??? I hooked up the 240v charger and NOTHING after eight hours but I established the wall charger worked to charge my phone!! I looked online to find it should only take seven hours to fully charge!! I am not the only one who was duped and hopefully there are no reports of people being stranded remotely on the water or out in the bush due to this inadequate piece of equipment that is sold predominantly to adventurers. I am guessing on the strength of the foregoing the unit I bought was some one else's return and that the sales people simply don't care about this equipment being so crucial. I would not be surprised if the new warning will include "Please do not rely on this equipment to save your life".
I was asked if I wanted an mediation with the company prior to posting my review which I accepted giving them the chance to resolve the issue privately. The company has NOT made any contact with me which only adds to the frustration of the exercise. What this does prove is that King's don't have a functioning customer service department that is willing to receive constructive criticism to forward onto their designers to improve their products. Selling goods that are substandard and unfit for purpose surely is an embarrassment to them given the image they wish to project to adventurers.

Careful! It outputs 16 volts to the 12 volt socket – Purchased this product from Adventure Kings (Adelaide) mid last year. The product manual and the case show an outlet marked 12V/8A so I hooked up a 12 volt LED strip light to it last week. The lamp was brighter than usual and then it started to overheat. A voltmeter test revealed that the output from the Kings Jump Starter 12 volt socket is… Read more
actually 16 volts. The product needs to be modified to deliver 12 volts to that outlet or the outlet needs to be correctly labelled 16 volts so that purchasers realise that they should not connect their 12 volt equipment to it without risking damage or fire. The User Manual also specifies The USB 2 outlet as 9v/2A. That also appears to be an error. It tests at 5V on the unit I purchased (as a USB should). Adventure Kings could definitely improve their quality assurance. Having a qualified electrical engineer pass the QA ruler over items before release would be a good idea. I can't comment on how well the unit jump starts yet but I can say it has been holding charge well.

A very bad experience with the Kings Portable Battery starter – Purchased this item circa 2 years ago needed to use it for the first time last weekend to try and start my BT50. I was assured at time of purchase that it would easily kickstart my vehicle if I ever got a flat battery whilst camping. What an absolute waste of time and money buying this item was, all it did was power up the lights for a couple of… Read more
minutes. It certainly didn’t and will not kick start any larger style of battery. I took it back today to the local store to be told the battery needed some power still for it to work, perhaps Kings should make sure that their staff who are selling are aware of the item’s limitations! I’m sure my battery had some power as I said it did reboot the lights. My advice to everyone is don’t ever rely on one of these if you are bush or beach camping fortunately I got my flat battery at home and not whilst camping! No way to test it before I needed it and it certainly doesn’t do the job it is stated to do!
