The generator is great. It runs quietly enough and works well. I tested a 2000-watt heater, and it gets nice and hot. The revs go up a bit when using the heater on low at 1000 watts. It's a beautiful machine. Fill the oil slowly and check the dip stick as there's a little oil in the machine, only needed 450ml to top it up. Show details · 1

Thought I did a review on these already? Clearly slipped my mind, so am doing it now while I am catching up with everything in here. Purchased at 4WD Supacentre Cairns online. Invoice Nos #9004505538 and #900456033 Bought THREE of these (so far) ready for cyclone season! They were on sale, as generators usually are here up north BEFORE the… Read more · 1
cyclone season really kicks in! (After that, you pay through the nose IF you can find one). One for each unit block, making sure the senior folk have power for their fridges, lights and especially FANS.
They are all fueled up, oiled up and ready to go. Had to buy trolleys to put them on for easier maneuverability for when they need to be wheeled out to the carport. These will be added to my Briggs and Stratton generator that I have reviewed here on ProductReview a while ago.
Being in Townsville, my Briggs and Stratton has had a bit of use, however these "THREE KINGS" (excuse the pun), have had NO USE as yet, and when one DOES get to use them, and that time WILL come, I will update this review, so keep an eye out.
These Adventure Kings 3.0kVA Inverter Generator 3000W generators are "generic", made in "you know where" and have several brand names, and are referred to by mechanics and camping chains as "CHondas", copied HONDA technology, that apparently work as well as the real deal!
My first impressions of the Adventure Kings 3.0kVA Inverter Generator 3000W are good. Everything is easily accessible, the oil inlet, the on off switch etc, and the fuel tank has a good capacity, so at 50% capacity, the fuel will last 10 hours or longer my friend tells me, as Kevin has one and has sworn by it ever since, hence my decision in purchasing these. He also says that the noise levels are not all that bad considering the motors are not enclosed.
Good idea to use FUEL EXTENDERS when filling these up too, as you don't know how long they will sit before use. I use "HONDA" storage fuel stabilizer (photo below) in the tanks and in the jerry cans.
Also a good idea to shake the generator thus shaking the fuel in the tank every 3 weeks or so! That's another good reason to have these on trolleys. Makes it so much easier.
The best oil to use is "PENRITE" small engine 10W-30 (see photo below). And remember folks, you MUST top up the oil and CHANGE IT every 40 hours of use.
Apparently with these generators, if you don't look after them, and maintain them or keep the oil changed OR TOPPED UP, they get crabby and throw a real ripe tantrum, and a diaper WONT FIX IT! There are some bad reviews elsewhere of the Adventure Kings 3.0kVA Inverter Generator 3000W because of this.
have a happy AND CYCLONE FREE new year everyone! Will add to this review once I have used them!
Easy to set up & easy to get started too. I just wish there was easier way to drain the fuel tank without having to flip it upside down. Show details · 1

Bought this 3kw niminal, 3300kw peak generator expecting it to run my air compressor. It wont, it stalls and the compressor wont start. I took power meter readings and the compressor draws 11.8amps at 220v on startup - 2.552 kw, and runs on 8.9 amps/220 volts or 1.9kw. I have taken video showing this. This compressor does make power, just… Read more
nowhere near what they rate it at and i expect because they wont share the current it can generate on any spec sheets, the power figure is like th old audio pmpo watts, or , not real..

Purchased this generator and for the first couple of times we used it, it worked well. Then all of a sudden it wouldn't start. Returned it to Kings who told us they needed videos of it bot working. Took multiple videos, but they still wouldn't accept a return. I now have a generator living in my backyard that is completely useless. Don't waste your money.

The generator I purchased has a fuel leak from the carburetor, making it defective and dangerous, despite following all the correct maintenance procedures. I lodged a claim under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) due to the defect; however, the 4WD Supacentre claims center refuses to take responsibility for their unsafe and faulty product.
