Honda EU22i

Fantastic Pro's...quite....easy to start...easy to do a basic oil change.. clean the sparkplug...airfilter etc. Fuel efficient... Con's...can be heavy to move...with the single handspace handle on the top ...solve that ...by using a small sack truck... when refuelling...you must/should use a funnel...to avoid spillage. I use it in my garage and camping on a very base's... 10/10...a wise investment...value for money...awesome quality. Show details
A fantastic unit. Highly reliable and very useful to power and charge my tools on a remote site. I never thought I'd need to use it in the city but it became very useful to run a couple of fridges during an unexpected blackout. Easy to start and quiet. Very happy with it. Show details
I have had a couple of EU 2.2i only one complaint is the pull cord frays roughly 15cm6in from the cord handle, had professional look but couldn’t find any problems But still keeps doing it. But apart from that there an excellent unit Show details
Purchase and it is a ripper, runs everything in the van. Had another brand/Chinese and this leaves it for dead in weight and noise levels. Think they strange away to measure things. Anyhow more than happy and would recommend to anyone. Show details
Works well, starts well. Very handy during black outs. Good for caravanning or camping and quiet. Show details
Light weight, a reliable quiet generator which is so easy to use & maintain. Reasonably priced I have one for storm season incase of power outages & feel so much better having it. It's also easy to drain the carbie so you can store it for the quieter months. Show details

Very reliable. Starts every time and produces enough power for my application. Show details
Reliable, easy to start only use it when we have power outages big enough to run two 2 door fridge freezer at the same time, plus our water pump when required. Take it camping with the caravan can use the air conditioning if necessary Show details
Absolutely brilliant, quiet and ample power to run what I require, I live off the grid so my Honda 2.2 is indisputable. Show details
Ok so not 5 stars only because I haven't used it a lot. My assessment is that it is expensive. ⅔ more than good comparable generators but it's also very reliable and of high quality and that's what I paid for. I intend to have this for many years and I expect it to be reliable and trouble free. Show details
Honda equipment is built tough and reliable. I own Honda mowers, firefighting pumps and the latest being the generator. We use the generator when on the road travelling with our caravan. The generator is light, quiet, reliable and powerful. I wouldn’t bother buying any other brand! Show details
Great little machine but a bit too little for caravaning. I sold mine after a short while and upgraded to an Itechworld Redback 3.5kva. I also bought their Redback 4.5kva. I find having both of them gives me the versatility to use either vanning or plugging into the house when we loose power. The Redback range was also substantially cheaper and they have suited us down to the ground Show details

It’s a Honda, what more can I say. Starts and does what it should. Amazing on fuel. Recently say it for 150hours straight because of no power due to bushfires. Powered my house and neighbours freezer with ease! Show details
It starts first time everytime Quiet very quiet doesn’t upset any near by campers Runs the aircon without having to over rev Just love it Show details
Excellent product very quiet always easy to start and puts out more power than what I was expecting very happy with the Honda Generator and the dealership in Rockhampton Rimrock Agencies who recommended this unit to me and I have had excellent after sales service Show details
Purchased the eu22i for camping and with our caravan. The Honda generator has worked flawlessly hour after hour, easy to start and good on fuel. Absolutely a fantastic unit and much quieter than other brands we've had before. Would definitely buy again if the need ever arises, not that this one shows any signs of wearing out. Show details
Not what they use to be – I have a Honda EU22i Generator that’s just crapped itself! 1.5 years old and probably 30 hours on it. Always drained the carby and oil changed every 6 months, it’s in almost new condition. It looks like something electronic has failed. I went with Honda for reliability and you would think at double the price of most generators I would get… Read more
it! But no!
I took it down to the local engine shop and the guy behind the counter told me “Hondas quality is garbage these days” FFS!!
If you want a generator that’s there when you need it DONT! BUY HONDA!
Perfect Small Portable Generator – The Honda eu22i is a compact 20kg which has done every thing I have asked of it. Reasonably quiet, strong 4 stroke engine and really well built. Search Honda EU22i for full specs. Show details
Never again – Purchased my Honda gen november 2019,march 2020 received recall for fire risk, another in may saying parts on the way.Rang Midland honda, boofhead i talked to very arrogant, said id just have to wait like the other 600 people wanting the same.Ive been sending nice emails to honda mpe asking when i can get recall done, they dont know but suggested i… Read more

Never Again! – Brand new out of the box. Ran it for about two minutes. Next day I stumble across the product recall, I rang Honda who had no idea when parts would become available and said I need to book it in from the shop I bought it from. I rang again asking them to consider my circumstances. Three weeks later the recall for the fuel tap fixed. Remembering I… Read more
have to take this faulty unit back in my time and cost and again to pick it up. The unit has sat for around eight months with fuel additive, inside my house with a Honda cover on a Honda rubber mat. In the meantime I purchased a Honda self propelled mower. A product recall for the previous model. No worries that’s OK. But as I read on, another recall for my Honda Generator. I rang the dealer who knew nothing and said to ring back in a few days. I rang Honda direct who said I needed to wait for the recall letter before they can advise me of anything. A month later I have received the recall notice and ring Honda. No idea when they can fix it and I am advised not to use it. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY HONDA! I have discussed my concerns with living in a bush fire area prone to power outages, I also have a compromised immune system and may need to isolate given the current climate. I suggested they take my Unit and replace it given my circumstances. A few hours later I received an email rejecting any help possible. And while I’m sure Honda don’t give a flying, the weak gutted lot couldn’t even sign off with a name. They finished with kind regards Customer Relations. You don’t treat Australians this way Honda. Make no mistake when we turn off you it will be in a big way!
Is it worth the money – Bit the bullet and purchased the Honda. Upgrade from 3 kva Kipor. Honda easy to start, much lighter and with a 7 year warranty. Warranty was the clincher. Easily runs caravans Ibis aircon. Generator Place supplied a camouflage cover the has hand access that also lets in the rain, not really a cover as such. I would think a cover should do as it… Read more
says, cover it!. Obviously not meant to be running with cover on at any time and should never be moved while running either. Plenty of service centres if need arises. No longer made in Japan...
